I went with a friend for lunch on a Monday. We have made a habit of meeting for a steak at various places around the world so next stop was San Jose. The restaurant is part sports bar and part semi-fine dining. Service was a bit slow and somehow disinterested. The menu was surprisingly low on dead cow offerings which... More

Normal steak house fare in a very nice setting. I've had several different items on the menu and have never been disappointed. A bit on the pricey side but what good steak house isn't? Actually I think the value is good. Very good wine list is fairly priced. Good bar area with a fun bar menu.

First off if it's in the fairmont. It's going to be pricey. Which is fine you need to expect that with high caliber hotels. But with the price I expect great quality. But $55 dollars for a "filet" ( beef tenderloin maybe but not a true filet cut it was an end piece) to have it cooked to death with... More

Had to pick a spot for lunch near San Jose. His location was very central and was close to the highways. Parking at the hotel was reasonable and quick access. Restaurant had a good atmosphere and very friendly staff. The waiter was a bit too over zealous but good service. Good was light and tasty. There were some heavy dinner... More

I expected the steak to be really, really good, but it was truly exceptional. Moreover, the brussel sproutwas one of the most create and unique tasting food I've tasted to date. I also appreciated the staff who were neither overattentive or underattentive, both of which are not enjoyable. This is a special place for a special dinner. OH and did... More

I stopped at the bar for dinner. Few TVs for football. Good service and friendly staff. Good wine by the glass and cocktails with local beers. I had the Special wagyu short ribs (little fatty but well seasoned and braised) with mashed potatoes and gravy. Dessert I had key lime pie. The crust was close to graham cracker but more... More

Let's start with the fact that this is an expensive steak house. Most mean entrees are in the $50-60 range. Side dishes and starters are extra. Wines and cocktails are undoubtedly good but costly. But quality and service are not without cost. Now you know that, so let's continue. The decor and service were great. The waiter was knowledgeable about... More

Rivals some of best in NY - on par with Wolfgang's and a little bit better than Smith and Wollensky's. Adequately priced given the great service and excellent selection of cuts and wine. Seafood was alright, not fantastic.

Perfect for a formal group occasion wedding, bar mitzvah, etc. Excellent service; food prepared as requested. Avoid lobby bar (noisy, trashy).
