We were a group of 12. We all enjoyed our lunch. The leek soup was to die for and the wagyu burger out of this world. My wife enjoyed her ham and cheese. We are a fussy beer crowd but everyone found a brew to enjoy. This would have been a 5 star review but my soup bowl was not... More

Our group of 11 needed lunch. Most restaurants near our hotel were full so we tried 71 Saint Peter. Everyone loved their food. I had the Salmon Nicoise which was lovely. And I could have eaten a plate of the rosemary foccocia!

This went from our favorite restaurant to one we will never return to in one night. I am usually a restaurant reviewer and boy do I wish I had been working on Valentines day when we had the worst experience in dining ever! We arrived on time and were sat immediately. Our server took ten minutes before he came by... More

I came by this restaurant and thought the atmosphere was pretty nice and decided to have dinner here. The server was friendly and took my order efficiently. However things went downhill quite quickly. Bread served was so-so. Then I waited what seemed like 20 minutes wondering where my soup was. Next thing I knew, they served by main dish -... More

Poor Food Safety practices ruined an otherwise enjoyable meal. We popped in here for dinner around 6pm on a Sunday before a concert at SAP. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and remained so throughout the meal. We each tried the salty dog cocktail, with grapefruit juice, vodka, and a salted rim. A... More

We had dinner here before the Sharks game. We had made a reservation but the place was quite empty. Very nice service. The crab cakes were really good, as was the "catch of the day". A nice place but not special?

This is a little gem in downtown San Jose on San Pedro Square. My wife and I have been here a few times over the years and decided to host a "party" at this location. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. We began the night with wine, beer and starters (bruschetta, baked brie, crab cakes....) which were... More

We were looking for a new spot for dinner and came upon 71 while walking in San Pedro square. Looked at the menu posted outside and decided to go in, glad we did. Loved the decor of the restaurant, takes you back to a little European place. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was busy as a... More

Nice Italian restaurant. I recommend appetizer Bruschetta (I don't know the correct pronunciation) which is marinated tomato on pan and Risotto which includes shrimp and ham. Each item are big enough. Risotto could be shared with two persons.

We searched for a place in San Jose, circled the entire San Pedro Square, and after passing it by the first time, ended up having a great meal on our last night of vacation. I had butternut sqaush ravioli, and my husband had salmon topped with crab. The brown butter sauce was great with my dish, because it was speckled... More
