Named by some ol'cowboy sitting by a campfire in deep east texas, this jalapeno stuffed with cheese and smoked sausage, wrapped in bacon and smoked for two hours will make your taste buds dance!
Marinated, rubbed, wrapped in bacon and smoked, just grab the handle and enjoy!
Take a large spud, bake it, core it out, toss in a pile of shredded cheeses, a wolf turd and some of our famous Mac'N'Cheese, close it up, wrap in bacon and toss it on the smoker for a couple hours. A real taste explosion!

We are a casual BBQ "joint" in the traditional sense. The focus is on the food. Slow smoked meats, homemade sides, rubs, sauces and desserts. Friendly service, at home feel. Excellent beer and wine lists (no kidding). Genuine Southern BBQ. Everything made in-house. We specialize in real, slow smoked BBQ. Beef Brisket, Ribs, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Louisiana Hots, Home Made Sauces, Sides and Desserts all done in traditional Southern style. Everything is made by hand in house, and only from the finest ingredients. We use real cream, real butter for example. We buy fresh greens and trim and cook them here. Appetizers, sauces, rubs, desserts all inspired by Southern cooking. Recipes from family and…
Although it looks small, looks simple, in the middle of no where (as far as I am concerned), as soon as you step out of the car and take a look behind the restaurant you see the smokers - where all the magic happens.
lacks consistency. Visited about 5 times while we were in San Jose, and food was great a few times and not so good the other times. The brisket is amazing when it’s good! The potato skins with brisket, baked beans, and wolf turds were always...More
Got two brisket sandwiches. Brisket was very tough and not a lot of flavor. Doesn't compare to Texas brisket. Just wanted the sandwiches, but they don't sell just sandwiches. Had to order a side. Potato salad was very good. $30 for two sandwiches.
The adage, “ Don’t judge a book buy its cover.” Is true about this place. Not the shiniest place on the outside but it’s all about the food here. We had a group of six of us, and everything we had was the bomb. I...More
The adequate place for meat lovers, even though or main dish was a little dry in my opinion (whereas my friend thought it was perfect). Anyway, the service was fast & friendly and the overall experience was very good. Would I come again? Yes!
Wow, best brisket I ever tasted! Also the baked beans and cornbread muffin were fantastic. My husband loved his ribs.
It is a bit of a rough looking place, but the best bbq we had on our 10 day trip. They even had great wine...More
The fatty brisket was great, but the lean brisket was dry. This is probably to be expected. Sides are very tasty. Interestingly, they serve white rice with their meals. I’d rTher have almost anything else. The ribs are totally amazing. And great service, too.
Being from the south it’s pretty tough to find some really good BBQ out here. Smoking Pig does a really good job with their meats and their key lime pie is really good. It’s one of my few go to’s for real BBQ.
A very unexpected pleasure in CA. I was shocked to see a BBQ place ranked so well in San Jose but had a hankerin for good BBQ. So I tried. Very low key place. I recommend the wolf turds brisket was thin slice but very...More
