We decided to get some healthy lunch with my cousin's family so it seemed Slapfish was a good option which is conveniently located right of Lawrence Expy and Prospect Road. We ordered a variety of fish and chips and salad/fish options. Most of the items...were pretty good but nothing exceptional. The fries with cheese and bacon was pretty tasty. Good place to try but its a average place....nothing more.More
We keep coming back for the good sized portions the fish n chips provide. We have had the other dishes and they are good.
Small menu offering but love the straightforward heres what you get. The crab and shrimp sandwiches and the lobster taquitos are very good
Phenomenal dinner!! The clobster grilled cheese and fish & chip sandwiches were amazing!!! They were flavorful, fresh, and plentiful! The drink station was not that great, but overall my dinner was awesome. The place was small and cozy, the location was convenient and the staff...were friendly, attentive, patient, and very helpful when ordering.More
We had the mahi mahi grilled fish bowl. The fish was slightly under seasoned and slightly over cooked. It was a good meal at a fair price and certainly worth another visit.
A relatively new restaurant located on Prospect Ave. in the Westgate area of San Jose. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean. We tried the Lobster Taquitos and the Ultimate Fish Taco... both had their “Awesome Sauce”, which had some heat but...was not overwhelming (although I can see where some people may feel that the sauce had a little too much heat). The Lobster Taquitos were grilled not fried, so they were not as crispy as we prefer. The Ultimate Fish Taco was average, not great. As far as we could determine, the prices for the soft drinks were not posted or listed (March 2019).... so be aware that a small to medium cup (about 12 ounces) for soda costs $3.50 (but includes refills). Their paper straws did not hold up well at all.... I ended up using several of them during our visit... inconvenient, but adding more volume to the landfill (although it is biodegradable).More
It is a very small place. Gets crowded fast. Many problems. Awesome sauce is very hot and there is no warning about it. It says choice of sauce but we were not giving a choice. Food is not that good. Everything is a specialty drink...without a choice for diabetics other than water. The menu is interesting but the food isn't. Felt Hopefully their slow opening improves to a good opening but I doubt we will go back.More
