Nice atmosphere, good outdoor dining. The spaetzle balls appetizer were very good. Potato and cucumber salads and spaetzle were excellent. But both the veal and pork schnitzel were tough cuts of meat. Need to get a better meat provider. Red cabbage was also excellent, as...was the beer.More

Oh gosh I love this place ❤️. Hands down best German food I have had . It’s authentic. Perfect presentation. The staff is warm and friendly. I love the farm style tables with sheep skin rugs draped over the benches . I love everything about...this restaurant. It’s unassuming and relaxed vibe had me wanting to stay for dessert so I could just keep my seat a little longer ❤️More

Indoor and outdoor dining both charming. Young staff who were frequently here and there, but my table got lucky with attentive service, great recommendations and good timing. Had a smashing time. Prices are medium to high. It is possible for a couple to become full...with high spirits for less than $50 Would have liked to try desserts but was mighty stuffed.More

Really love the beer and atmosphere here. I was here with a friend, just 2 of us. We sat inside the restaurant. It was pretty quiet, which I like a lot. We have ordered Jagerschnitzel and some beer, food is pretty good, price is fair...in my opinion. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely be back.More

A large group of us visited Ludwigs for an evening meal, and had a great time. The food was very good, with fast service, but the beer was excellent. A good choice of German beers available in various sizes up to a 2 little boot!!

Had to summon staff after a prolonged wait to get food and drink. Another threesome had come in just before us, and they were also wondering why staff were just hanging out at the bar. Food was good and authentic. Pretty restaurant. Wish they offered...flights of beers. Fab sauerkraut and potato salad!More

The outside tables in the patio are nice. All they need is the "oom-pa-pa" band! There were 5 of us, so we were able to order a variery of dishes, including a couple of appetizers and dessert. A couple of us used to live in...Germany, and were expecting something that reminded us of "home". Our expectations were not met. The Jaegerschnitzel was disappointing, and the Kasetorte was very dry.More

Met with a bunch of people as part of a convention for dinner @ Ludwig's table. It does not look from outside like a restaurant, it's more like a regular (larger) living house where you're invited to join a table. Inside it's German restaurant style,...as much as you can get it done well in the US. The great thing is that it's spacious (even if crowded you still have air to breathe) and the food is German (mainly Bavarian style -- hint from the name 'Ludwig') -- and it's surprisingly well cooked and the products are authentic. Definitively a place to return.More

Very kind and attentive staff. The food is fantastic and they have a great selection of beer and wine. My favorite dish is the kassler and I love the apple strudel for dessert.

We went to celebrate my birthday as I craved a taste from home. The food was excellent, Wiener- and Jaegerschnitzel with sides, and Thuringer Sausage. The selection of beers is great and I loved tasting a Dunkler Doppelbock for the first time. Drinks come in...0.2, 0.5 or larger. 0.5 was plenty big enough for me. The only drawback we can see is that there is very limited parking downtown if you do not know the area. We were lucky to find a spot in walking distance. We arrived 5:55pm and found an empty spot in a metered area. Parking was free after 6pm. Otherwise, this could be expensive.More

Ludwig's has inside and outside (Bier Garten) seating. Inside is mostly long picnic-bench-like tables that you share with other people, as you would in some restaurants in Germany. The server we had was very friendly, helpful and efficient. There are not a lot of options...to chose from, but what we had, was excellent.More

Great German beer and selection of Austrian wines. The food was very nice. We had pizza, pretzels and sliders. There is an outdoor patio and banquet hall. The staff were fabulous. Two thumbs up.

I had the Konigsbergklopse which was meatballs with mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes with a beet salad before. It was very tasty. My husband has the Jaegerschnitzel and Bratkotoffeln which is a pork schnitzel with mushroom gravy and fried potatoes. Wonderful!

After seeing a great rating for this place, we decided to check it out. I was impressed with the German beer and non-alcoholic drink selection, as it was very authentic. When it came to the food, I was not impressed at all. This may be...due to reviews stating the restaurant was very authentic, so I may have set my expectations high. While the food presentation was nice, I found the bratwurst and sauerkraut to be not authentic, and the herring had little taste. The best part of my meal was the cucumber salad, which I would recommend to anyone who goes here.More
