If you want cheap authentic cantonese comfort food, this is the place. All of their dishes are priced cheaply, but the portions are large. Their dumplings in soup are some of the best in the area. Their beef stew is great as well. My favorite dish might be the pork chop in peking sauce. I would probably skip their bbq... More

I live in a Midwestern college town, and unfortunately there are no Chinese restaurants with roast ducks and char sui hanging in the window. We stopped here on our way to Palm Springs from LA, then stopped on the way back as well. Service was a little slow but we would definitely return. BBQ pork and duck, shrimp with crispy... More

Met up with some friends from the South Bay who were craving some good Chinese food. Plain looking place but, that didn't matter, the food was awesome. There were only four us but, we ordered seven dishes! A half order of roast duck for $7.99, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, baked pork chop with pepper, pepper beef, honey... More

Food was ok but service was horrible, the waitress was very impatient not to mention that end of the meal the waitress even dared to ask for additional tip! I mean 1 dollar is not much but how could you have the face to ask for that???

This is a popular Chinese BBQ restaurant chain in the US. They are usually tied to 99 Range Market. They have good BBQ and noodle dishes. This place is small and is always packed. They have the $2 house soup at dinner time. It is a bargain. Their Chow Fun is excellent. Service is average to bad. Rice is not... More

This time, I would like to share my dining experience in Sam Woo Barbecue restaurant in San Gabriel, CA, end of last year. This was our 2nd visit in the past two years where the first visit, we noticed the food quality was not as good as it was during early days when they were still very famous and popular.... More

The barbecue meat such as the cha siu are pretty good. But one thing I realize about typical Chinese food in US is that more quantity than quality. If you come hungry then this is a good place to eat and all the food is authentic. But, sometimes I prefer good quality food and this is not the place. The... More
