We were in the area and hungry. This place had good reviews, so went. I would highly recommend it. You can eat in or take out. I am not a tortilla expert, but these are some of the best that I have ever had.

Been going there for over 40 yrs, Same place, the tortillas, corn or flour are freshly made everyday by hand, thick and full of flavor. As soon as you walk in, the aroma has you hooked. You can order tacos, burritos, tamales, menudo, tripas, carnitas, chicharones, red or green carne con chile, awwwe, so many choices while you wait to... More

Everything there is great eating. The tortillas are made in the back where you can see the ladies making them by hand. This is the closest to being in a restaurant in Mexico that you can imagine. Yummy food.

best tamales ever, I ordered for Christmas, always have them and very good about never running out. I ask for it wet, this way mine is special, my husband and I order breakfast to go all the time, once we ordered on line and paid online then pick up was a breeze.

I have been coming here for many many years. People are correct that it is not the same now that the kids took over. The tortillas are still the best around. The meats and tamales are very dry. The salsa and Pico are still very good. The Chorizo has changed over the years but it is still pretty good. They... More

Went there with a friend of mine who grew up in San Fernando area. This place is like a museum of authentic mexican food. It's a little quit during my visit there, but who's care if they can deliver quality food that up to my taste bud.

This is supposed to be a San Fernando icon. Maybe it was once but not anymore. Food is worse than mediocre - I got sick both times I ate there. Even waited a couple of months and went back because my family kept raving about it saying they grew up eating there. But the food was just bad, not even... More

Next generation has gotten too expensive while not paying attention to detail. Tamales dry and not enough meat and sauce. Lines are more for tradition than taste and value. Yes a tortilleria, but the restaurant that goes back to the '50's has lost it's attraction.
