Amazing food and service. Trenton (our server) was so friendly. This was our 1st time at nicks and it didn’t disappoint. The food was incredible!

Nick's has always amazing food in a great setting. Suggest you try the deviled egg appetizer. The atmosphere is trendy with a great large bar, prepare to wait though usually packed.

Nick's was the best restaurant we ate at during our week stay in San Clemente. It's located on a charming street in or near the historic district. Lot's of interesting places to shop and stroll for a pleasant afternoon. The food was amazing, especially the...kale salad with grilled chicken. It was so big, it made two meals for me, and was just as good the next day for lunch. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection and sliced thin, mixed throughout the salad. Each bite made me smile. We enjoyed our dinner at Nick's immensely. The food was excellent. And Sanja did a good job as our server. My bowl of soup was delicious with a homemade taste. The kale & quinoa with grilled chicken was outstanding! And large enough to take home...for lunch the next day. The same with the baby back ribs. Really good and tender. We will return!More

This is one of our go-to spots when we visit San Clemente. The food and drinks never disappoint. The service is consistently A+. The espresso cocktail and asparagus fries are superb. Also noteworthy are: cheeseburger, veggie burger, and salmon. There is no better loaded baked...potato on Earth; it’s fluffy and soft on the inside and has a crisp outer skin. Absolute perfection. Portions are large and can easily be shared. Only thing newcomers may want to be aware of is that there is usually a line or wait to get a table, so factor in the wait time if you’re really hungry.More

Selected to dine here based upon previous reviews. Ambiance was upbeat and energetic. Service was receptive and accommodating. The entrees recommended by our server were very good: cioppino, bistro plate with filet mignon and complimented with a good Manhattan straight up.

My husband and I walked into this place for lunch and we were seated right away! The waiter was very knowledgeable and suggested some excellent wines. I had the roasted red pepper soup to start and it was so good! We ordered the bacon deviled...eggs appetizer and they were to die for! We didn't think we would like them, being slightly fried and all, but it worked! My salad was so good and my husbands burger was delicious! The restaurant's got a hip little atmosphere to it but we didn't let it bother us. Ha ha. Seriously though, this place is amazing! We will eat here again for sure!More

Good comfort food, great choices, good prices. Great staff. They extended patio out on street during covid to accommodate guests. Enjoy!!

look I'll be honest its ok. The price does not justify the taste maybe the chef was having a bad day. Their chicken is dry and flavorless. Their portions for the price are depressing 😔. If you want mexican food with real flavor dont go...here you are better off and pollo loco. Plain and simple it will disappoint, now if you want a good looking place maybe a dinner date you are taking out a client this place is high end and made to impress 😉. If you want quality tasting food dont let the look of the place fool you the back of the house is not cutting edge and if you have a full palette flavor profile you will see it the second you bite in. This is an honest review and I hope you take it as such. PS: Service is one of the best and the guacamole is good not out of this world but good.More

Outstanding food and setting. Price point higher than other comparables however would encourage taking this in.

We stopped over in San Clemente remembering Nixon who at his time was a rouge and a villain, but a choirboy in comparison to the present guy. Someone recommended Nick's and it was a fine piece of advise. We got a good start when someone...behind us in line for a table (a daughter and her quite elderly mother) brought their own wine for consumption with the meal - they must have spent a lot of money in that restaurant or knew someone. We shared a salad and a San Francisco cioppino and it was a gorgeous meal - relly good and pretty rich, and we had to pass the dessert we had looked much forward to, Warm Butter Cake. Adding much joy to the meal was the waitress who, when getting aware of the fact that we live in Norway, told us she was a big fan of the Norwegian playwright Insen.More

After my son graduated from Marine boot camp, this is where he wanted to go. It did not let us down. As always the food and service was spectacular. Our table of 8 was treated well and with food that you tell your friends about.
