My wife and I tried the Rustic House for the first time this week and had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The food was superb and our server, "Chalk" was excellent. He was good-humored, courteous and professional, giving us both some good pointers on dinner...selection. I started off with 3 Fried Oysters with Anchovy, shallots, capers, garlic, butter & parsley (BAGNA CAUDA). We also had the opportunity to sample the Rustic House friend oysters, which came with Garlic, chives, butter, cayenne pepper & Parmigiano. Both of these choices were wonderful; the next time we come, I plan to order the larger, 6-oyster option. My wife had an order of the Steamed Mussels, another excellent appetizer option. For the main course, I tried the Lobster Ravioli dinner. All I can say is "Wow". Delicious, rich and covered in fresh New England lobster pieces, this was a great choice. Being British, my wife tried the Fish and Chips and found the 3 pieces of cod done to perfection (the fish was accompanied by some delicious fries). For dessert, the two of us split a piece of melt-in-your-mouth good Key Lime pie. A Bombay Sapphire Martini was my beverage of choice, while my wife tried one of their Rustic Cooler "Signature Cocktails". The seafood was very high quality and that was reflected in the prices. That said, the meal was well worth it and we plan to return soon to try some of the other intriguing-looking menu choices.More

The Rustic House has now transformed their adjacent parking lot for outdoor dining with proper 6 foot distance between tables. Saturday night was a lovely evening to enjoy the Rustic House once again. We started with the calamari and a few oysters. I had the...grilled Mahi Mahi accompanied by roasted tiny potatoes and roasted cauliflower, the fish was grilled to perfection. Service was efficient and professional and met appropriate guidelines. Our family of 3 shared the s’mores and key lime pie for dessert. An outstanding meal and enjoyable outdoor atmosphere. Bring a jacket. Once the sun sets it gets chilly. I suggest making a reservation. As of yesterday, indoor dining currently isn’t an option here.More

Fresh ingredients and preparation and the cheesy garlic bread is the Best. Plus a great value during Happy Hour, however in these days of safe socialization get food to go!

They have a back room with two long tables. Perfect for our party. We had the back room for good part of the evening. Another birthday took the other table later in the evening. We had calamari and oysters for the table. I had cioppino...which is okay with all sorts of fish, mussels half crab. My cohort had lobster roll which is okay. My other partner had sword fish which is okay. The services were good. The place is rustic just like its name.More

I visited the Rustic House as I was staying at the LiA Hotel up the street and saw this restaurant as I drove by. I was greeted very warmly by the Hostess who sat me promptly. She explained the various Oyster selections that were on...the menu along with the nightly specials. The restaurant has a nice selection of wine, drinks and beer. O settled on the Anchor Steam Pale Ale which is a classic Pale Ale. I ordered the grilled artichoke which was grilled perfectly and then garlic lemon aioli was a perfect compliment. For my entree I ordered the shrimp tacos. Two tacos were served with black beans, tropical salsa and a great coleslaw. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu as they were out of the chocolate bread pudding. The tiramisu was fine. The server was very nice and I would recommend this restaurant if you are in town and interested in seafood. They have a tremendous selection on the menu. I'll be back for it when I'm in town again.More

Popped in because driving past for three days the look and signage appealed to me. My mom and I took forever to decide on what to eat and enjoyed the best ceviche of our lives (not young by the way) while deciding on our meals....To walk into a new place and be delayed at the bar by great conversation with employees like being long time visitors is beyond relaxing after a few days in a strange town for a parents surgery. Our meal was spectacular and we have planned our next four meals for here since we will be in the area ten more days. A place to be enjoyed. A staff worth knowing and the type of service long forgotten. Conclusion: Food wonderful, staff super cool and value of meal well worth it. Try it, you will only regret it if you don’t.More

This restaurant was close by and advertised seafood! I had a Bloody Mary which was okay since there was no garnish. Not even an Olive. We shared fried oysters which were okay. Too much batter and not enough oyster. I had the scallops and risotto...entree which was delicious. Place was not too busy this Saturday but I can imagine it being really noisy when busy as the tables are really close.More

I decided to try this restaurant for date night & we were not disappointed. Parking was a little difficult, but it was worth it. The restaurant is small, so it gets crowded fast. Make a reservation, which will help shorten the wait. This was our...1st visit & the hostess told us the Cheesy Garlic Bread would be complimentary. It was delicious. It was so good that you just know that you will order this dish every time you come back. Our server was Meg & she was very nice. Always smiling, very attentive & just really nice. My wife had the Fish & Chips and I had the Pasta w/ Scallops. Both our dishes were really good. My wife's fish was excellent. The breading was very light & the pieces of fish were large. It was a very nice portion. My pasta was very good with a light wine sauce & very tasty scallops. I have decided that the next time I go back, I'm going to order the Cheesy Garlic Bread w/ Crab and bowl of Clam Chowder. I can't wait to go back.More

There are so many great items to choose here that it is hard to focus in on any one thing but a great place to start is anything that is coming off the grill. I dined solo a few times and watched the expert grilling...and was highly impressed with the care of preparation I saw and tasted. Also worthy of note were the friend oysters and the salads, both excellent.More
