Service was excellent. I had the jambalaya - flavorful but not spicy. You can spice it up with sauce if you want. Wild mushroom jambalaya was also great and I think every table around us had the fried chicken.

This is my wife's favorite restaurant, she loves the Catfish. As for me I like the Red Beans & Rice. Since we live in San Carlos it's our go to restaurant!

Cajun food restaurant on the peninsula? We had just come from watching a Tom Rigney and Flambeau concert at Twin Peaks Park in Belmont, and were in the mood for some food to match the Cajun music in the area. Checked Yelp, and Creola was the closest on our way home to Sunnyvale, among the few Cajun restaurants on the... More

Not too impressed, but the food was decent. I was hoping to relive some of my Madri Gras New Orleans days from my youth. Ive been trying to find REAL gumbo for some time now. The gumbo from Creola is pretty good considering, however its nothing to write home about. Wife had the Jambalaya which was our saving grace. Also... More

Small but well run restaurant serving traditional Creole/Cajun food. Service is very good. The food is great and reasonably priced. They have a fixed price menu which is a good value. My favorite dishes are the Jambalaya, Oyster poor girl sandwich and beignets for dessert. They always have a great Fat Tuesday meal with live music. Reservations suggested.

Was there for lunch. Had the three course lunch special for $18 which was a good deal. Gumbo was fine, salad nothing extraordinary, just a salad, and had the beans and rice with andouille sausage. Taste was fine, portion was plentiful. When one goes to a restaurant which boasts of New Orleans heritage, one thinks of Dixieland Jazz. The music... More

The 4 course prix fixe menu is advertised on their website for $30.00. Well we sit down at our table the menu reads $35.00 instead. We told our server can you please honor the $30.00 for both me and my wife. Well he had to go ask his manager. Our server came back and said he can only take $5.00... More

While playing in San Francisco we decided to check out Stanford University. A friend drove us and suggested we eat at Creola. That turned out to be an excellent suggestion. The staff was great and very friendly, always a good start. Happily the food was equally good, lots of spice and flavor, but not overwhelming or overpowering - it was... More

Visited recently for dinner whilst on vacation in the area....firstly the venue setting was lovely and cosy, and relaxed. The waiter was really polite and warming and had very good knowledge of all dishes and drinks on the menu, we had the set dinner menu which was excellent, faultless.... We had a really nice time here, at the end I... More

Just walked by next to my hotel and was lured in by the Creola sign and the jazz music. Had a bowl of great gumbo, ok fried okra and a glass of Rioja. Fun neighborhood atmosphere, a bit on the pricy side
