Don’t get me wrong, food is good. But if you are looking for healthy, keep looking. The fact that this place is at the San Carlos Airport makes it all worthwhile. Stick to breakfast, though.

Were here for breakfast. They have quite standard proposals: eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, pancakes. Nothing extra ordinary. What we didnt like: bacon was too cooked, no salt/pepper in hashbrowns. It was 'fresh orange juice' in menu that we took. But we recieved bottled juice instead and...when asked service - is it a fresh one? The answer was - yes. So just dont put 'fresh' in menu if it's not. I think this place is mainly for people who came for airport. If you are not - better to find something else.More

Let me say upfront that I don't anticipate my comments will matter, customer feedback isn't something I think is valued with the current owners. Having said that, I have been a regular patron of Sky Kitchen for many years & when it changed hands a...few years back I fully anticipated there would be changes. It's expensive to operate any business but especially on the peninsula, what I didn't anticipate was to get gouging when ordering lunch. While my order may have been a little different (2 hamburger patties no buns, sliced tomatoes & a small gravy) I didn't anticipate being charged $3 for two slices of tomatoes & $4 for the gravy. My bad for not asking but I assumed (we all know what happens when you do that) that like the other sandwiches it came with the tomatoes, they would save on the buns & like other menu items a small gravy would be included but nope, $30 for lunch. Few things annoy me more than getting nickel & dimed, especially when your a regular (that should not matter but when they know you well enough to have your preferred drink ready when you walk in, well they know you) but I will not be back. Again, given their level of business I am sure will I will not be missed but this business model is not sustainable & will eventually catch-up with the establishment.More

My wife and I are regulars for breakfast at this very well established breakfast and lunch diner. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and provides for good views of the San Carlos Airport tarmac. The service is pretty good and the menu is great! There...is just about every type of breakfast food choice that you can think of including a very large omelet selection. You will also be happy with the large and easy access parking lot.More

Right at the runway in San Carlos airport, old-fashioned diner with a lot of themed decor. The corned beef has is excellent and made in-house. Thankfully, it lacks the very salty flavor many inherently have. My husband has the Southwest. omelette with chorizo, HOT jalapeño...and avocado. He enjoyed it a lot though today’s peppers packed a punch! The Sky Kitchen has a menu full of great options, fun to revisit again and again.More

First- the food here is really good. Great selection (like 30+ types of omelettes!). Good bacon, done well (asked for crispy- it came crispy, which at most places it doesn't!). So, even just for the food, this would be a solid choice. But, the setting...at this small airport makes it really unique and even more worthy of a visit. They have a great setup with a big counter in the middle of the restaurant, at an angle so you can see planes landing and taking off. And helicopters- the Coast Guard helicopter was doing practice runs the day we were there. Makes for a fun environment for adults and kids alike. Particularly if you have small kids this is a great place- the planes will keep them mesmerized for the whole meal. A great place to go to if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels, if you're visiting Hiller Aviation Museum, or if you're a local!More

I have dined at a couple of small airports where there is a restaurant on site. Having found this one, I decided, why not. Good location, quick service, typical breakfast. I enjoyed this place twice during my stay in the area.

Literally in the middle of the San Carlos Airport, and adjacent to the working runways and hangars, is this classic American diner. Nothing special, but all your usual diner grub. Breakfast and lunch are fine there and not expensive. Service is good. It's a small...place with very few tables, windows out to the airport. Parking is fine.More

All 4 of us enjoyed our breakfast @ this fun restaurant! The airplane/airport ambience and especially the food was great! Each dish was prepared & served as ordered. Service was very good & our coffee cups were constantly refilled! What more could you ask? We...will return!More

Our group of four decided to have breakfast at the Sky Kitchen at the San Carlos Airport. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs with wheat toast and coffee. The corned beef was excellent and the eggs were cooked just right. Our server took...very good care of us. I think we'll be returning for breakfast tomorrow morning.More
