They got a nice menu everything from full dinner platters to a simple sandwich, all filled with their wonderful barbecued meat. Besides the good food I like the family friendly restaurant and atmosphere.

Am sorry I ate here. All the food was wrapped up in plastic and taken out of the refrigerator & heated up. That's not BBQ! Not fresh at all. Don't get me started on the customer service... Very bad attitude. I should have gone to Burger King across the street. I know they will appreciate my business. I will never... More

I really do like Dickey's BBQ Pit - the ribs are so tender, they fall off the bone. Love their beans, corn bread, ribs and mini ice cream bar.

The ribs were good and the staff friendly but that's about it. We thought it was pricey for what we got. The BBQ beans were lukewarm and not good. The place itself was untidy, not a rustic feel. It was also so cold we could not wait to get out. The soft serve ice cream was a mushy and had... More

We went to Dickey since we heard about the chain and were in the area. The food is nothing special. Strange that the food preparer weight each meat portion. We ordered the ribs and brisket and were disappointed because the meat was on the dry side. The bread had a strange flavor from being rolled on with fake butter. The... More

(Usually had went to the Rib Shack for years but so many owner changes over several years with declining quality). So, we tried and have kept coming back to this BBQ chain, Dickey's BBQ Pit located in the San Bruno Towne Center shopping center. Parking can be tough and negotiating roadways challenging with drivers lacking proper skills. Great food and... More

We had the big combo and were lucky enough to take advantage of the special - we ended up with 3 pounds of fabulous brisket and turkey plus 6 sides. Fried okra was a winner. All this for $50. Plenty enough for 2 families with 2 kids each.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has its roots in Dallas Texas dating back to 1941. It is now a national franchise and has just entered the Bay Area market in San Bruno near the Tanforan Mall. A co-worker, who is a serious barbecue fan and cook, tipped me off about this location which actually opened at the end of 2012. My husband... More
