Really nice atmosphere & staff,Not your typical Cali Mex Fare, much better than any other Restaurant serving this cuisine. Always fresh and tasty, bordering on delicious if that can be said about this type of food. Chips and Salsa are the best, & you can catch the Game as well

Four of us dined at Las Maranitas in San Anselmo last night, and a great time was had by all, thanks to their world-class margaritas and the first-rate Mexican food. The fact that they have a great attitude is also a welcome bonus. And if you try one of their desserts, you'll be glad you left room for it.

Really delicious food and great bar; margs are excellent. Pricier (is that a word?) than most but the food is way above average. No globbiness in sight.

Mistake #1: showing up at 7pm on a Saturday when there was a social function. But the hostess, after warning us it might be up to 45 minutes to wait, found us a cozy table in the bar area after only 10 minutes! Mistake #2: not having a second stomach. THIS is guacamole! This was the best guac I've had... More

We stopped in for what ended being a late lunch after completing some work in the area. Most of the menu isn't served after 2:30 so that left us with about six selections. I had the carne asada tacos. There were two on the plate and they were very good. Rice and beans cost extra. They claim to make their... More

Good bar scene, also a great place for lunch or dinner. Wonderful appetizers -- especially the trio of ceviches. I prefer the dinner menu -- more options. They have all the usual Mexican dishes, along with favorites from other countries. The Argentine steak is my personal favorite.

We wanted a late lunch before the dinner service. Most restaurants in San Anselmo did not serve after lunch until opening at 5:30 or 6:00. This restaurant was recommended to us and was a short walk from our hotel. The food was excellent we felt we were back in Texas. The bar well stocked. Menu was varied and the atmosphere... More

We visited Marinitas on the strength of other Trip Advisor reviewers. We were in the mood for Mexican food and so we found Marinitas. The chips and salsa are great. We shared the Tacos dorados de pollo and the daily special: Tinga which is braised pork, tomatillos, verdoglas, cumin, coriander and sweet corn polenta. Our server told us the staff... More

Great restaurant for mexican food that isn't the normal run of the mill. Lots of unique delicious options. Great kids menu with drink included. The adult beverages are amazing. Well worth the stop if you are passing through -

It's a family restaurant that manages to retain some hip. Margaritas are great, and considering how crowded it is almost all the time, the service, excellent. The menu is trendy Mexican, but prices are reasonable. A very good choice for family dining in San Anselmo.
