Visited here for brunch. The place has an amazing aura which makes you starve. The service is quick and food was mouth watering. Loved the sauces which is not their own production are also complimentary with the food.; prepared with different types of chilies.

If you love big portions and home cooking this is the place. But be warned come early as this place fills up quickly! especially on Sundays. I recommend the volcano can never finish it but order it in memory of my stepdad.

As overseas visitors, our first ever time in an American Diner. Next to the Laurel Inn motel, very conveniently just off the US101 freeway. Staff were very friendly and most helpful in explaining the meals and choices. The meals were very good and we thought were great value.

This is one of our favorite place to eat breakfast. The servings are huge and the food taste great. My wive loves the chicken fried steak and I really like their linguisa and eggs. The price is right and the people are friendly.

My dad is 96 and loves to eat out. We even had Christmas dinner here. Best decision I ever made. They wait staff is super and the food is plentiful and satisfying. It feels like home to me, so it is my favorite when I visit family.

Staying at the Laurel Inn motel nearby, we decided to have our dinner at the Black Bear, expecting nothing exceptional, but being anyway confident in the reviews found here on TA. Once at our table, I read the story of this brand, which made me eager to have the fine American food I had just ordered. Unfortunately, what I got... More

I love the breakfast menu. They offer a variety of different foods at reasonable prices. Portion 's are large so you won't be leaving hungry. The staff is courteous and quick if you need refills. I highly recommend them for breakfast.

The Diner is on the premises of Laurel Inn so it's just an easy walk from the motel. The food was fresh and tasted good. The service was friendly.

We went here for dinner on a trip to the Salinas Zoo. We were very pleased both with the service and the food. The place was very clean and the staff considerate and helpful. I had pot roast which was very good (although I have never had the roast cut in cubes before) the meat was very tender and tasty... More

Looking for good comfort food? This is the place, now keep in mind that it does take a little bit of time to prepare and cook comfort food. However you will be entertained by all the ambience which makes you feel like you are in the mountains. The staff was helpful in suggesting what we should order and the location... More
