Lunch on the terrace

My husband and I were able to get a last-minute reservation at this lovely restaurant between wine tastings. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed the incredible views. I had the delicious watermelon and arugula salad topped with a piece of perfectly grilled arctic char. My husband adored the... read more

My sister and I spent the entire day looking at property and driving around various lakes in Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties: Beautiful but exhausting. She had never been to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) so I took her there for dinner. When I lived in St. Helena, the CIA property used to be the Christian Brothers Winery. The... More

Last night we went with friends for the 4:00-5:30 pm Happy Hour. FANTASTIC! Jeremy took excellent care of us, the food was inspired and delicious so we ended up eating dinner there as well. It was a cold and rainy night but inside was warm, cozy and inviting. We will be going back again and again!

We have been here several times, mostly for lunch. This was a birthday dinner that was certainly memorable, but not in the way we expected. The wait staff were, in a word, lazy. The dishes were not explained, orders were forgotten, food and wine that servers spilled was left for us to clean up - my goodness, is this Denny's?... More

This was not our first visit to Greystone...in fact, it's a must stop every time we are in the neighborhood visiting our favorite Napa wineries. In the past, our experience with the food and service was nothing short of superb but this time, not so much. Our first impression was the hostess with her "if you don't have a reservation... More

For years I have heard about the extraordinary beauty of this place where accomplished chefs develop innovative dishes and teach the next generation of great restaurateurs. I chose it as my 50th birthday Napa Valley destination dinner. FOOD: The limited menu featured an adequate selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Friend 1 had the beet salad. Very good but... More

Made numerous calls over a 3 month period to book a party of 17 for a special event. Each time was told a "reservation concierge" would call within 24-48 hrs. Was told they had my request but to call back Aug 27 when CIA classes would be in session. Then I was finally told they were closed during the time... More

We had planned on having dinner here but settle fur lunch since they are closed closed for dinner for the next few months. Disappointed but they let us know our reservation was being cancelled with plenty of time. Food and service were wonderful. We ate outside and the view of the vineyards made us feel like we were in another... More

Made a booking weeks in advance and the restaurant decided to close for several months but didn't bother to let my group know. We were stuck in Napa on a Saturday night with no dinner reservation. Then they tried to apologize by offering $50 off my next booking, as if I'd ever attempt to go there again.
