I cannot honestly give this place any stars after the the disrespectful treatment by the co-owner Howard Frasinetti. I had made reservations for their banquet room well over a month a head of time, paid the deposit and requested the catering menu. Needless to say,...Howard gladly booked my reservations for the entire banquet room, took my deposit over the phone and confirmed that I would be able to come set up/decorate for my event at 12noon. Despite several emails asking for the catering menu, Howard finally emailed it the week before my event and allowed me to come in 2 days before my event to view the banquet room set up at 630pm. At said time, I arrived- asked about the policies on table decorations, discussed the set up of the room and confirmed the setup time of 12noon. Howard tells me I am limited to half the banquet room due to the downgrade of my party size when I paid the deposit for the entire banquet room. I offered to pay in full for my event and requested the full banquet room as we initially agreed upon however he told me "you know I have another customer I made plans with and I allowed you to come in to see the banquet room, you cannot set up at 12noon the earliest is 230pm because I have an event the evening prior, you can pay on the day of the event and make any necessary changes via email until then. I look at my emails every day and will respond to you" and left. Needless to say, I emailed him when I got home about my concerns. He responded the next day via email acknowledging my request for the full banquet room and set up of tables. I got to Frasinetti's at 230pm with my team, Howard brought me in first with him into the banquet room where we both realize that the room was not set up as He and I had discussed. He became very angry with me, raising his voice and yelling "I cannot believe this and this is what happens when customers like you change the plans at the very last minute!". I calmly told him what we had discussed in person and via emails when he proceeds to berate me in front of my entire team who walks in after hearing all the commotion. He stated "I get a million emails every day and you indeed emailed me but do you think I have any time to respond to every email? I have been in this business for a very long time, you do not know what I have to deal with!". I was so embarrassed and I calmly told him my team and I are not upset about the extra tables, we will help him remove all the table settings and move the tables out of the room to make the room fit the setup. That was when he escalated and yelled at me "I do not want you touching anything nor will you move anything. I am in the restaurant business and you don't begin to know that we cannot do these things! I am so disgusted with you and you cannot make these changes like this!". I apologized profusely and asked him to sit down and calmly discuss the arrangements we agreed upon days prior but he shakes his finger in my face and continues to escalate by saying "you don't know anything about the restaurant business and no I am not dealing with you about this, I don't have time to look at emails with you!". I stated that I don't believe I was being treated respectfully and I would be more than willing to speak to him in a different room as my entire team at this point has seen and heard this unprofessional exchange or, I would be more than willing to speak with anyone else who could remedy the situation. However before I could finish this statement, Howard walks away from me and out of the banquet room throwing up his hands. My team and I proceed to leave, Howard tells me to direct him to "all your demands". That is when I asked for my deposit back and I told him with the presented behavior I no longer felt safe nor would I want to hold my event there. Howard stormed out of the room again and after 15 minutes returns, stating he would not return my deposit as "it's all a misunderstanding about the set up of the room". No apology, just that he would "personally move all the tables and set up the room as we had originally agreed upon several days ago". I declined & politely asked for my deposit back a 3rd time, stating that his behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. I have hosted several events at several other facilities throughout Sacramento and have never been treated so unprofessionally. Howard stated "What do you want me to do? What is it going to take for you to not leave and just move forward?". By 345pm he would not return my deposit and my event was due to start at 5pm. I would not recommend this place for any event due to the unprofessional, disrespectful behavior. The AC was on during my winter event despite multiple requests on my behalf. Food was mediocre & the unlimited soft drinks were flat. Howard also never put my deposit towards the final bill as promised. Take your business elsewhere where you & your guests will be valued & treated respectfully as paying customers. It wasn't worth the deposit to stay.More

Had our class reunion here - highly recommended for functions. Great waitstaff, great food, and nice area rooms to meet in.

While it might be a step back it time, we found it delightful! Took a group to have dinner, everything was very tasty -starting with calamari to entree's (steak, pot roast, prawns, etc) would recommend to anyone. Might only knock was the small wine glasses...for the cab!More

Four of us went for lunch to celebrate a birthday. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is actually inside the old winery along with the barrels. It has a full bar. It is Italian food and everything was delicious except what I ordered. The...chicken piccata was really weird, like I have never seen.. It didn't taste bad, but looked awful, and didn't taste like piccata. We also visited the winery. They have good wines and a nice gift shop.More

Located in a dubious industrial area this long time establishment has seen its day. Tired old world decor, and pastas thick with sauce are the highlights. Even my seafood mixed grill was covered in sauce to my surprise. The bartender was wonderfully friendly and gave...us generous tastes and interesting explanations of all the wines. Alas, a taste was all we needed of any of them. We were not tempted tonorder any additional wine with dinner. Our server was also friendly and helpful. Dinner came suspiciously quickly upon ordering it. Always interesting to try a new place. No return visit planned to this one.More

Living out of state for many years, I had an opportunity to visit several places of my youth in the Sacramento area. Old town Florin, of course, has given way to “progress” but it was nice to see Frasinette’s has remained. As we drove by,...we saw that they now had a restaurant, so we stopped. So glad we did! Although many folks were taking advantage of the outside dining, we chose to eat inside. The ambiance is “wine country” and this provides an atmosphere that encourages you to slow down, enjoy the people you are with, and share a leisurely meal. I had a Club sandwich with a nice cabernet and my wife enjoyed a salad and pasta entree. Service was respectful and accommodating! We will return our next visit!More

Quiet place to get a bite with a loved one. They serve pastas and desserts. The price is a little steep for the quality of the food.

Quaint, charming little restaurant. Very limited menu for Italian food. I had the veal, which was not the best I've ever had. The flavors that accompanied it were amazing, but the veal itself was a poor cut. My colleague had a chicken dish that she...said had good flavor but the veggies were almost raw. Service was fine. The waiter was scarce, and there were not many people there at all, so not sure where he went. If it weren't for the busboy we probably wouldn't have left a tip.More

This is truly a gem in the industrial area of Southeast Sacramento. In the over 100 years that is facility has existed, the city has expanded all around its original location in the old town of Florin. Operated by the family descendants, the restaurant provides...meals that are at least very good, in the lovely atmosphere of an old winery. The menu is not extensive, but all the dishes are well prepared and served promptly. You are left with the feeling that you just ate in a friend's home. Very good food, reasonable prices and nice people, What more can you ask? Go and enjoy.More

My husband and I attended a group event at the Frasnetti Winery and Restaurant. We enjoyed the wine tasting beforehand, and the food at the restaurant afterwards was delicious. I ordered the grilled seafood platter and it was excellent. We will go again!

Frasinetti's is a little off the beaten path but worth the ride. The buildings are historic, rustic and inviting. Our threesome had a lovely lunch. The chicken ravioli was well prepared with a creamy butter basil sauce. The dish was served with an assortment of...fresh veggies. The lunch special, beef Stroganoff, was interesting with tender pieces of beef served over rigatoni in beef broth finished with a dollop of sour cream and grated Parmesan cheese ( a light Italian touch). We also enjoyed a carafe of Chianti with our delicious lunch. Our server was pleasant and the orders came from the kitchen quickly. There is a tasting room adjacent to the restaurant. We did not wine taste but truly enjoyed "window shopping" for all the wine related gifts. Outdoor dining is also available. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant but there is a large unpaved lot just around the corner.More
