Suggest making reservations. If a smaller party be sure to ask about the small dinning rooms. We ate in the wine room. Interesting room. Great staff and very good food. Pork chop is what you want but make sure you are hungry. Ask about house hot sauce if you like spicy foods. Can be a little hard to find but... More

You know, you just can't go wrong here. It's a small but quaint spot in a downtown hotspot. It's a little expensive but really worth a nice night out. The steaks are perfection, the fish dishes are always creative and delicious. There's also always a duck or lamb or quail thing that is always worth a try.

We had a 7:30 reservation for four on a Wednesday night. No valet parking. We drove around and parked three blocks away. Hostess said table would be ready in 15 minutes. We weren't seated until 8 pm. The wine steward Chris poured us complimentary glasses of champagne for waiting and suggested a bottle of 2014 Kistler Pinot Noir that everyone... More

Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great food to nibble. The wedding rehearsal dinner was here and then afterwards, all guests from out-of-town were invited to join them. The chairs and tables were moved appropriately and a big crowd joined in the fun. Although we did not attend the rehearsal dinner and were part of the later group, the welcome party was... More

My company had its manager Christmas lunch at this restaurant this year. Although it's only 8 blocks from my work I have never been here before. So glad he picked it. The service was great and the food was excellent. The turkey was described as an old fashion, open face turkey sandwich like your grandmother would make and they were... More

Friendly and inviting with a low key feel and top notch execution. Locally sourced products. Our meals were innovative and delicious. Knowledgeable and attentive service. Nice wine list with reasonably priced interesting alternatives, not the same old-same old.

We've been eating Patrick Mulvaney's cooking for years, long before his Building and Loan. He's a talented caterer. His food is interesting, unusual, always fresh, and flavorful. He hires competent, knowledgeable servers who are always honest about the day's menu and know their wines. Dining at Mulvaney's is always a pleasure.

This is one of my three favorite restaurants in sac. Lots of choices. Small and larger plates. All fresh and seasonal and spiced in a very sophisticated way

What a lovely romantic evening in MidTown Sacramento. A few months ago we had stumbled upon this place while enjoying some Gelato down the street. While we didn't stop in at the time I made sure to bookmark it for a future visit. Mulvaneys is an old banking and loan building converted into a fine dining restaurant. We requested to... More
