Just had an outstanding and memorable meal with attentive and flawless service. Every course was excellent with exceptional attention to presentation (see photo of femur bone in which the beef short rib was served!); we especially enjoyed some of the early courses in our meal - a "shooter" of tomato bisque (defied description!), a huge & scrumptious scallop, and gnocchi... My husband and I have been to The Kitchen several times over the last several years to celebrate our anniversary or birthday. We love the food and the experience of fine dining. How wonderful to see your food prepared before you and to be educated in the process. The staff are friendly and helpful. Dining at The Kitchen is like... More

We went for our 40th wedding anniversary. Definitely more than we ever spent on any meal but the food was sooooo delicious. Every one of the five courses was wonderful. Great explanations on the food preparation as well

This is a place you only go for special occasions - make your reservation well in advance. Very personal cooking & tasting experience, while you watch chefs prepare your food...

We have had dinner at the Kitchen a hand full of times. It really is quite an experience. For those who have not gone, the Kitchen is a unique dining experience that is second to none. In fact, if you didn't know you were in Sacramento, you would swear you were fine dining in Napa Valley or the south of... More

We went to the Kitchen with friends and had a very nice evening. The production starts with a nice glass of champagne, followed by an introduction to the evening by the executive chef. They invite you into the restaurant as if it were in their home. You are encouraged to get up, walk around, watch the chefs at work and... More

Service was fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased with how we were treated- they really do everything to make you feel welcome and to ensure that your needs as a guest are met. The chef, who also emcees the proceedings, was personable and funny.... More

I have been to quite a few fine-dining restaurants and most of them are really good with amazingly creative food (unlike you would have seen before). Kitchen is also exceptional with its food with several courses of meal, however, there are a couple of things that separate it from perhaps other fine-dining restaurants and they are: 1) The whole kitchen... We were given the gift of dinner @ The Kitchen. What a fun evening. First you would never know that such an epichurian delights wait for you in a plain looking building with no signage. Then you walk through the doors, the experiance begins. We had a front row seats at the counter. You are free to wander around. Check... More

When you go to this restaurant the meal becomes special to your tastes. First thing your waiter does is ask about allergies or foods you don't eat. There are choices if you can't eat what is on the menu. I am very picky and I went with alot of the foods on the menu and was surprised how much I... More
