The outstanding caring staff takes great care of you. The prime sandwich was amazing, so thick and tasty, "It cuts like Butter" prime rib.
Saturday night dinner. Right next door to Bartley Cavenaugh golf course. Great patio with awnings and orange trees. Good service , good food and nice ambiance. Friendly. Spaghetti was excellent. Nice hot bread.
We stopped in here for lunch last Sunday because the exterior of the restaurant looked appealing. We chose to sit on their pleasant, shaded patio, and were led past an indoor rotisserrie with a dozen delicious smelling chickens roasting on it. Service was prompt and...our waitress was friendly and efficient. They provide fresh-brewed iced tea, which was tasty. My husband and I split a turkey club sandwich with fries. It was disappointing. The turkey was deli-quality and thick sliced, but it lacked flavor. The whole wheat sliced bread was dry and the fries were institutional-food-service grade and not fresh cut. Nothing we couldn't make at home or get at a fast-food type of deli. If we were to come here again, we'd order something different. We didn't see the roti-chicken on the brunch menu or we might have been inclined to order that. Bottom line, really good service and ambiance but average food.More
After wine tasting at Heringer Estates we stopped here to have a nice lunch! When you look and walk into the bar & grill it doesn’t look very large but there is indoor and outdoor seating at the back. We were able to enjoy Saturday...Brunch, so my friend ordered an omelet which she enjoyed. I had the turkey club and it was stacked and delicious. The server was very friendly and helped us with our choices and checked back to make sure everything was tasty!More
We stopped in as part of a long road trip. After a morning spent loading a truck with freight, we were ready to reward ourselves with a nice meal. We definitely picked the perfect place for this. Food was amazing and service was good and...personal.More
Located across the I-5 freeway from the Delta Shores Shopping Center, Freeport Bar & Grill features an eclectic menu of tasty home-cooked meals. A large outdoor dining area is also available and a popular bar.
We had the meat loaf for lunch; it was awful. It was too hard because bread crumbs were not used in the mix. No bread/butter was offered in the beginning. Wait staff not familiar with blackboard specials for the day. Therefore we do not recommend...this restaurant at all.More
We have been to the Freeport Bar and Grill many times and have always enjoyed it. The service is lovely. Paco the bartender is such a nice fellow and all the other servers are pleasant and knowledgeable. When the weather is mild, it's lovely to...sit out in the back patio. The food is always scrumptious and the servings are more than ample. I always take something home. We especially enjoy the seafood offerings. Highly recommend it for a casual but filling lunch or dinner.More
This restaurant is actually located in the old town of Freeport along the Sacramento River, south of Sacramento proper. We enjoyed a tasty Sunday breakfast in the lovely outdoor seating area in the rear of the building. The entrees were very tasty and large enough...for the very hungry diner. Service was friendly and prompt. Not our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. A very nice place to stop.More
We stopped for a late lunch at what looked like a great place in Freeport. After being pleasantly greeted, seated, and promptly given large glasses of cold water, things went downhill. Other patrons came and went while we waited for our order to be taken,...a medium-rare blue cheese burger and a Philly beef sandwich. The burger was way-overcooked, the french fries mushy, and the Philly sandwich soggy to the point of sticking to the plate, comprised of recycled pot roast, barely cooked onion, raw green peppers and a little melted Swiss cheese. When our waiter came back to ask how it was, we told him and he gave us the option of sending it back to the kitchen for a re-do. We did not want to wait for that so finished what we could, and paid our full bill.More
We always have a good meal here. The patio is cute to sit out on and lunch sandwiches have always been a staple.
If in fact it lies within city boundaries, within 5 seconds you can be in Clarksburg (? the mapping apps are unclear). The detailed District 7 map (TA won't let me imbed the link, but if you are interested, you can google "cityofsacramento Council_Dist7," and...it should be the second hit) indicates that that part of Freeport is not within city limits, but that's just another mystery of Freeport, a municipality that sprang up as a result of American's second-favorite economic endeavor: finding ways to avoid paying taxes. FB&G hopping for happy hour, but still well represented afterwards, and a very charismatic waiter/bartender. A recently opened nearby I-5 interchange will only make this area more accessible. We (a local friend and I) stopped in after a nice wine-tasting at Bogle (they now charge non-members a whopping $8 for a tasting, but you get a 50th anniversary tasting glass, and they have some mighty fine, affordable wines). Good beer selection; we nibbled on garlic bread before his massive and succulent burger and my tasty angel hair pomodoro arrived. No room for dessert,More

We have been here for breakfast and lunch and we have not gotten anything we didn't like. We use to dock our boat at the Marina across the street and have a nice lunch in a cool location on a HOT summer day! Was a...nice break before enjoying another boat ride on the Sacramento River.More
