They are the best. Huge servings. We order the 4 item combination. We take home enough for at least one more meal. We drive from Roseville to Sacto. for their food. Our friends drive from El Dorado hills for date night. You can not go wrong with them.

I have a $50 gift card I went on their website looked at the menu found what I wanted called a recording came and said no orders by phone you have to come in and order is that so they make a little extra money on drinks I'd rather loose some $$ any sell the card 👎👎👎👎

The Enchiladas here are to die for! Chicken, beef, cheese are all amazing! The sauce is soo good! Service is always very quick, food is hot and the servings are huge! Prices are reasonable and even though there may be a long line, the wait is never very long. One of my families top 3 restaurants to go to.

I have eaten there in the past, so I decided to update my experience again . The ambience is impeccable, it reminds patrons of California's Spanish heritage . I ate the Chile Relleno entre on one occasion, the the beef tacos on the other . Food was fresh, I would have preferred Monterey Jack cheese in my tacos, but I... More

I've waited for good food, but never for a specific Server, but my family insisted we wait for Michael! Visiting from Oregon, I had eaten once or twice over the last several years, and this place still impresses in food and service. Portions are substantial(first time I've ever needed a doggie bag!) and well presented! The majority of restaurants serve... More

I've been in the east coast for 12 years and missing California Mexican food. This place used lard. Thank you. Their carnitas, refried beans, rice and salsa were just what I had been missing in my life.

My first time here . My boyfriend brought me for dinner here and as we walked in it looked authentic , full of character and smelt amazing . We sat down and got our food and honestly it was hands down the best Mexican food I've had . The Portland are amazing and you won't leave hungry . Great food... More

Very traditional and lovely interior - prompt service. Portions are quite large, and usually require a box to go. Chips and salsa are provided and a very large menu.

El Novillero is a great place to eat. You will not leave there hungry! The food is good. The service is great. The portions are rather large. If you have a small appetite, you can save the left-overs for the next day.

Saturday linner (not misspelled ) at 2:00 PM, had two burritos, took 1/2 burrito home, left so full that did not eat leftover until Sunday morning, as usual great food, and great service. I will always go back for more great food.
