It sits right on the Sacramento river. We had a table on the patio so we could watch the boats going by. The staff is very friendly and a lot of fun.

The staff were helpful, the place was fun for the kids very entertaining. This is a high energy place if your looking for quite don't go. The food was just so so and to high for the quality.

Food was quite good and portions were generous however prices weren't much lower than fine dining establishments, which this certainly isn't. If you like loud, raucous and campy and or are travelling with kids, then this might be your cup of tea.

Close by to the Embassy so we did not have to drive (especially after diving for 12+ hours!!). The Shack is right next to the river so we ask for a table with a view, but it was nighttime so not much to look at. The food was average, but what gets this place a very good rating is its... More

Terrible service! Food was ok. We were a table of 5 at noon. Our server Lawrence took our orders brought us our drinks then we sat there while other tables that came after us got their food. We finally got our food and he never checked back with us. We would have ordered more drinks but we never saw him... More

Love coming here for dinner & bringing out of town visitors, but you have to be prepared for a wait. It is a very popular spot. You also have to be prepared for the noise! I prefer to sit out on the deck because it's not as noisy and you have a nice view of the river.

Party of four including 7 year old. We waited with homeless and mentally ill for a table, Sat night crowds were large. We ordered Lobster Bisque, several cups, Calamari and my wife ordered a Bowl of Clam Chowder, Appetisers, the Clam chowder soup had broken down and the oil /butter overshadowed any other taste . The calamari didn’t taste fresh... More
