Location on the Sacramento river is great and dog friendly. Fish and chips and fish tacos were good - staff was attentive. Only issue for us was that patrons were socializing with each other, walking around the restaurant without masks.

The lady of the house had been talking about this restaurant for quite some time. We waited until it was a nice day to eat outdoors and went to lunch here. The good: dining right on the river, service. The bad: zero crab dishes even...though crab season in full swing. 1 dish featuring crawdad tails. Food was average. Great ambiance.More

Went there on a Friday night, expecting a crowd. The place was very quiet. We sat at a table near the open garage door overlooking the river. Our waiter was a friendly, helpful guy. I had a local draught beer and green been appetizer. Both...were good. My entrée was the jambalaya. It was a good size portion, loaded with chicken, shrimp and sausage. Very spicy! I love it. Had some chocolate cake with whipped cream to cool off my mouth. Overall great dinner on the river!More

If you are not one of the beautiful people, young, and hip, stay away! This place used to be our favorite place on the river, especially when we docked with our boat. We haven’t been for years, and now have gray hair. Let’s just say,...we were treated poorly, although discrimination is probably a better description. The hostess treated us with contempt, and had a superior attitude that was unwelcoming. Management needs to step up to the plate, literally.More

Well, if you want some drinks on the river, you can't go wrong here. Nice deck, great people watching and a cold glass of whatever, it's a nice place to just hang out and watch the world float by. The food? There's some good snacks...and an OK lunch but food is not why you go to Crawdads. All and all, a nice place to start and end your day of boating.More

I had not been to Crawdads in many years. It’s definitely still a party. Food was good. Drinks very watered down as mentioned in other reviews. Don’t waste your money. Server never smiled. Efficient but not friendly. Loud crazy atmosphere. Bought tickets for band that...was supposed to start at 7 but didn’t start playing til well after 8. We left soon after so that was a waste of money. People watching on the boats was very entertaining but FYI not a family friendly atmosphere.More

My husband and I came here for the first time. We sat outside by the river and loved the view. He had the fish and chips and really loved them. I had the fish tacos and it was okay. Was more cabbage and not much...fish, but was tasty. We will come back when in town again.More

Used to have dinner here once a week and it was consistently good. In the past year or two, it has become consistently bad. And it seems that as the quality decreases, the prices increase. Go figure. On a recent visit, the clam chowder was...inedible. It had a very bad taste and was gluey. The famous Mardi Gras drink (for $14!!!!!) was watered down and almost alcohol free.....a mere hint of its former glory when you’d get a big glass of the wonderful frozen concoction sure to make you mellow. Our entrees were average, except....in what world can you not order your hamburger rare or medium rare?!?! We were told because of how they cook it, it comes only one way....which was dry and over cooked! I assume that means they cook it early in the day and it sits around all day waiting to be warmed up and served. Here’s my advice. Go to Crawdads for a glass of wine (they CAN’T screw that’s up!) and a nice view of the river. Then go elsewhere for dinner!More

The last few times I have been there I have been so disappointed in the menu selection and the quality. Furthermore, I bought a few Groupons (fairly expensive) last year and they won't even honor the cash value, which Groupon said is guaranteed! The way...I learned that they weren't honoring them was when I went to check out with the cash value of the groupon. I explained that we were really local and could walk to the place and loved the setting and they were dissing a very repeat customer, and they couldn't care less! I wanted to walk out, but didn't for my daughter's sake, and paid a very high bill for what you get (quality-wise).More

Fun place right on the river, with truly good eats and great service! The unique menu offers a wide variety dishes + drinks. I had the Creole Burrito, which was excellent. My Wife would also recommend the Crab Grilled Cheese sandwich. Although we visited on...a Monday, apparently Saturday afternoons are jumping, with live music and a very lively crowd. This place is worth the short drive/Uber from Downtown Sacramento.More
