All the cakes look beautiful but don't taste like much. This was our second time trying dessert from Rick's. The first time, I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday. Nobody enjoyed the cake, and the frosting had no flavor. Years later, we just tried it again, each of us choosing a slice to go. The frosting again is heavy... More

Great selections of cakes, pies desserts and ice cream plus a bar, that's right a bar. Plan to stand in line to order then hunt for a table. This place is a 'must to go', very fun. It's like Disneyland.

I came to Rick's in January. My boyfriend (at the time) , his mother, his step dad and I all went there after a lovely dance. The staff was very patient with us and the food was great. The setting is beautiful and bright. It does tend to get crowded there but that's only because their place is amazing as... More

Rick's is the go-to place for fabulous desserts in Sacramento. Everything I've ever had there has been amazing- cakes, pies, brownies, etc. The best however, is their Napoleon, which is to die for.

I was so impressed by the bountiful variety of these decadent delights, it was difficult to choose which to indulge in. I tried the chocolate ribbon cake, and my wife had a piece of death by chocolate. They were both amazing! The line was long, but it moved quickly and was well worth the short wait. My only gripe is... More

We loved eating desserts here. Even though we had a large group of seven people, we found a comfortable table for all of us on a busy Friday evening. The place has a fun vibe, and the surrounding neighborhood was quaint and busy. The layered mocha cake I selected was delicious, as was my husband's tiramisu. Both desserts were the... More

Went for late night desserts with friends. I got a pecan praline hot fudge sundae. It was amazing (although it is hard to go wrong with dessert) and the atmosphere is just so cool. So well themed. Employees are either really really nice or not very nice at all. Great experience!

If baked goods are your downfall, this is the place to (literally) feed your vice. Pies, cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, ice cream... the only real problem is what to choose. Don't expect to find other types of food there - it's strictly desserts. It's a great place to take kids if you don't mind revving them up with a large... More

Fun and lively midtown spot for huge portions of cake and ice cream. Expect a line, but no one seems to mind.

Found this delectable diner when looking to waste some extra time in Sacramento. What a great place. They have numerous goodies, we chose the chocolate mousse and carrot cake and both were good. We visited on a Saturday night around 9:30 and then line was out the door, but well worth the wait. Service was great too.
