Greasy spoon diner with nostalgic vibe. Friendly staff to welcome you. After food was served had to.ask for refills and check. Got an $11 dollar omlete that should have been about $7. Not very big. 3 huge typical pancakes. I asked for choc chips and...More

I first went to Pancake Circus in 1968 and I think some of the same staff is there. It is traditional breakfast with plenty of food. It is a place to have comfort food without any trappings.

Make sure you have all your immunizations before plopping yourself down at this place. Located right smack in the middle of the vagrant flyway on Broadway in Sacramento , this place is a go to , only if you are starving to death!

I’d never been to this Sacramento landmark. A group of friends wanted to meet up and one of them loves it. It is wheelchair accessible so we said yes. The decor presumably is just as it was in 1962. The real circus may have folded...More

Was looking for a place for a nice breakfast, and while this did serve the requirement as breakfast - it offered little else. Service was ok. Coffee was simply awful. Food quality was just ok.

Food is ok; it is not Wild Flour Cafe/Mimi's Cafe. The server Teri, who is always dressed in black and wears tons of make-up, always overcharges us. We don't trust her with our credit cards. She is very cold with the kids and shifty. The...More

Don't be deceived by the rather drab exterior: Pancake Circus is a great old fashion breakfast joint with an excellent menu. There were so many excellent choices on the menu that on our next visit to Sacramento we will definitely have breakfast there again. The...More

We lived in Sacto for years and left in the early 90s. This was our favorite breakfast joint because of the buckwheat pancakes. So of course we stopped in during a road trip. Not much changed - just the upholstery. Great service, great pancakes, and...More

My family loves this place. The servings are very large, even for our kids. It is yummy breakfast and a very welcoming atmosphere. It is pretty much an icon.

Locals aplenty. Normal menu choices. Pancakes are large. Food is not that tasty. Service varied a lot day to day - yes I went back a couple times - mostly due to not being able to find other establishments near where I was staying.

I'm sorry, we weren't looking for gluten free when we visited but I don't recall anything specifically gluten free on the menu. I would call them if I were you: 916-452-3322.
