On November 28, we dined at the Firehouse for our second time. We were scheduled to be in San Francisco, but on the evening of the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, that all changed, as my wife’s meetings all moved to Sacramento, instead of SF. I scrambled to get reservations, along with changing flights, and accommodations. OpenTable helped me out, and we... More

Stopped in after visiting Crocker Museum (not far away) for dinner. Nice place without being snobby at all. Great food with a decent wine list (as you should expect this close to Napa). Entres of seafood, and a burger at our table, both were Very Good. Not overly expensive either. Very Nice place to eat, would go again any time... More

After all these years The Firehouse still manages to delivery an excellent dining experience. We were there to celebrate the new year and they had a $125 prix fixe menu... about 3 choices per course. We were a group of 10 so ordered everything available that day and every dish from the lamb cheek and pork belly appetizers to the... More

We dined here after a grueling day in Sac for work. There was no wait on a Monday evening. The weather was perfect for eating outside. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I loved the cucumber sorbet. That was the first time I have had a sorbet palate cleanser and I wish more restaurants offered one. The food was excellant.... More

Been to this restaurant a few times based on my first experience but was somewhat disappointed on my subsequent visits. Dessert is definitely a must have but main course fell short on both my last visits. I travel to Sacramento monthly on business and not sure this will be on my go to list.

This place is awesome, if you are driving by Sacramento its worth driving into midtown to go to this place. The Bloody Mary's are to kill for

Simply the best, you can pay less elsewhere, but you won't find better. Steak, seafood, everything was excellent.

Fantastic 3 course lunch for $25. Food was elegant, balanced, rich and yet so simple. Each course was worth $25 alone. I highly recommend peering each course with a recommended local beer. Each beers' note refines the dish to a new level. Phenomenal and highly recommended! - a Blogger AM21

Came here on a Sunday night in cold December for Dinner. Imagine my surprise that I couldn't find street parking, and had to use the valet. The valet is reasonable, but still, Sunday night was that busy? Indeed it was. The restaurant was pretty full at 7.30pm. The service is slow, but that's how I like it. No need to... More

We celebrated Thanksgiving dinner here. Our reservation was for 6:15 and we were seated after a 10 minute wait. They were very busy. They had a set menu with a set price. Everyone received the same appetizer and salad. There were 4 choices for the main course and 2 choices for dessert. Even though our appetizers and salads were the... More
