I ordered the Ralph's slam with eggs over medium. The quality of the cooking was poor. One egg was runny and the other egg was so over cooked. The sausages were cold and the pancakes were gooey. The waitress replaced the sausages with warm ones (not hot). My stomach felt the pain of the poor breakfast, but perhaps I ordered... More

Evan's has great food for meat eaters, vegetarians, and some vegan dishes. As a vegetarian I love that I can go there with my omnivore friends without anyone feeling left out. My daughter comes to Evan's for vegan food when she visits from Michigan, and has really enjoyed their vegan menu. If you like dessert order the fresh baked cookie topped... More

Service was great. The country gravy is to die for! We had the Evans omelette and the breakfast bowl (both had gravy). Definitely recommend anything with the gravy. We have always had a great experience here!

We came to browse the shops of the 57th Street Antique Mall and the cousins we were visiting alerted us to this little treasure located in its midst. We arrived for lunch in time to be seated immediately, no wait. I thought perhaps it served just the adjacent shopkeepers and mall patrons but the menu was far too extensive and... More

My group and I were a large group eating between soccer games of our children and Evan's kitchen was very accommodating in getting our group seated. The food is excellent and they have a huge variety from breakfast to dinner. There is something for everyone'. Definitely worth it and it is quite a gem and also it is located at... More

My husband and I go to Evan's Kitchen when we want a special night out. Last night we celebrated our anniversary there and were not disappointed. We each ordered the roast beef dinner and shared a good bottle of wine. We've ordered other things on other occasions and each dish has been well-prepared, full of flavor... chicken, scallops, steaks, seafood,... More

If your idea of dining is a roadside café with short order cooks serving greasy tasteless food than this is the place to go. The décor is a 1960s worn out look that lacks any period charm. The menu is extensive if you consider that you can have meat loaf or a meat loaf sandwich, roast beef (large, medium or... More

Love the atmosphere here although the wait may be a little bit of a drag the food is well worth it. We've been coming here for birthday breakfasts , girls brunches and have always been so satisfied .

Read the good reviews and decided to give this place a try. Because the restaurant has a small storefront, we were really surprised at how large Evan's Kitchen is on the inside. We had the Chicken fried steak (it's made with whole steak!). Different but good. We had it with the home fries and with our choice of toast. Overall,... More

Evans is a great little gem hidden in the 57th street antique mall. Been awhile since I have been to Evans. Went today with my mom. We both had the monte cristo sandwich. Our favorite. It was perfectly cooked, even better than I remember it. The bread seemed different, but for the better, almost cake-like. Ham and Swiss mmmm. The... More
