We said we’d be back and we’re amazed to realize it’s been a few months already! Blame it on our aversion to COVID. Our Easter Sunday experience was sublime from the parking lot (attendants were friendly and gracious) to the front receiver who graciously took...our photo just below the hand painted Easter egg display. The most difficult task was to pick from the selections of appetizer, mains, and dessert. Each dish was meticulously prepared and presented. We were five bubble-mates who came. For appetizers, we had the foie gras (3 of 5), gulf shrimp, and the burrata. For mains, we had the lamb (again, 3 of 5), the scallops, and the lobster omelet. I have to say, the lobster omelet needs a little rework. There was less than desired lobster and the cheese to go with it kinda took away from the enjoyment of the lobster. It should have taken center stage. The egg was a little too thick. I prefer the lobster omelet at Solbar. That one was worked well into the eggs and the cheese complimented the entire dish -lobster and egg. Our desserts were the stylized but still lovely bananas Foster (you need a better banana bread though!), light sorbets, the two decadent chocolate offerings. It was getting windy again late into our meal. So, we appreciated the coffees and teas. (I do miss their cookies though.) Now, I wonder what’s for Mother’s Day...More
