My sis-in-law and I enjoyed lunch recently at "Slice of Goodness." It's been around since 1985. I don't live near Roseville, CA, so it was the first time I had been in for many years. What a joy! The quaint dining room reminded me of neighborhood cafes long gone. We were served by the owner whose service was pleasant and... More

We moved from Roseville several years ago and hadn't been back to Slice of Goodness for that long. While in the Roseville area recently to do some Christmas shopping, we stopped by. To no surprise, the meal was still excellent. The menu includes an excellent selection of sandwiches, salads and soups and there are always some specials. And then there... More

The quiche & pies are wonderful! They are homemade. Order the applesauce, it tastes like my Grandmother made when I was a child. The restaurant is family owned & you feel like family when you are there. My favorite lunch spot!

First I enjoyed half a sandwich then had a piece of berry pie. It is all home made and tastes like my mother's pies. The restaurant is small but don't get the crowded feeling. The servers are very efficient and friendly.

I've had the pleasure of eating at A Slice of Goodness for over 15 years, not as often recently since we moved but on a recent trip "back home" I made sure to visit my old friend and introduced it to some of my other friends! It is conveniently located off I80 on Douglas; however, it is in a tiny... More

Though they offer lunch items do you really go there for the lunch? I order soup or sandwich so I don't feel so guilty. The cherry berry pie was so good a wanted to lick my plate but thought it would be uncouth. The crust is to die for! I really wish I could get the recipe. My pie crust... More

Slice of Goodness is just off Interstate 80 at Douglas Blvd. They specialize in homemade pies which are the best I have ever eaten. If you are heading up to Tahoe for a family get together, call ahead and order pies to take to your vacation condo for dessert. You and your guests will not be disappointed. I recommend the... More

A wonderful little out of the way restaurant that serves incredible made on the premises soups, sandwiches and amazing pies. I was visiting a friend in Roseville who raved about the food here and when we finally visited, I was blown away with the fresh, delicious healthy lunch. The service was great, a family member who, even though he was... More

My colleagues introduced me to A Slice of Goodness two years ago and it is delicious! A family-owned eatablishment, the food and pies are made fresh daily. They offer a variety of sandwiches, soup of the day and have a great selection of pies. Open only for lunch during the weekday, and with seating for about 50, make sure to... More

I love getting lunch at Slice of Goodness. A healthy sandwich followed by a piece of homemade pie can't be beat. Try the applesauce on the side instead of the potato salad. It is homemade also and is wonderful.

Thank Linda B
