This place is always hopping and the bar is usually standing room only. I have been going here since they opened and the food has always been really good. Lately however it's been a little hit and miss in the food and service department. Overall a fun place to go with good food and sustainable fish, beef and chicken which... More

Everyone is warm with a big smile and if you don't see it on the menu and they will accommodate you. Food is plentiful and tasty. Outside seating is delightful with or without a hater in the evenings

This was our first time. I do appreciate that they try to serve local and sustainable products. Service was very good. The meal was good but not so fantastic that I can't wait to go back. We don't drink but seems like it would be a great place for those who do.

My friend and I had lunch for almost 3 hours and it was wonderful. We started with calamari and then each of us had the fish tacos. The calamari was good, but the fish tacos were excellent. We brought a Brunello from Italy, which enhanced the meal and we enjoyed the company of each other. We had a booth which... More

I went to Paul Martin's on a business lunch with my team. The menu was decent, however, not a ton of options. The food was good. I had a French dip that wasn't great but wasn't bad. The service was good. If I'm back down in Roseville I would consider going again.

A very nice restaurant with friendly, efficient staff. Food is very good served in a casual but very classy way.

Went for an early dinner with my boss. We sat in the dining room but close to the bar. It was nice for conversation, but gradually got louder as people came in for happy hour. I've been here before several times and the patio is nice when it's not too hot out. This is one of my favorite places in... More

I've read other reviews of poor service, but I can say only that didn't happen to us. It is a bit pricey, but it was worth it. I had the hoisin marinated pork chops, and they were delicious. They were served with sugar snap peas, also very tasty. My husband had the brick chicken which he enjoyed very much. Servings... More

The place is fancy. I was there for lunch with a friend and I felt a little underdressed. Most of the clientele who were there for business lunches were wearing executive attire. This set my expectations pretty high. The food was good but not great. The service was rough. There were very long intervals between server visits. We were there... More

I have long been a true fan of Paul Martin's Restaurant, always recommending it to my family and friends, so my dinner experience last night was unsettling. My mother- and sister-in-law were visiting from the Bay Area and we decided to take them to our favorite restaurant. We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:45 p.m. reservations and we... More

Description
The menu at Paul Martin’s consists of dishes aimed at taking diners back to the American farm with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced organic produce, fish from conscientious fishmongers, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State’s fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. And behind Paul Martin’s elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin’s local, American Bistro.
