The food is just at the 'meh,' level. I am so sorry I can't say much good about it, but it just doesn't cut it, with all the other really good foodie joints around the Rocklin-Roseville area. Well, if you're not a Paleo person, the bakery goods had a few really good items. Now that I've gone paleo, though, nah,... More

It's always good ! Great salads , fresh with mostly butter lettuce - I like the house house salad with chicken added ask a giant scoop of avocado just smothered in their dill dressing which is to die for ! The bread is always fresh as well . The sandwiches are loaded with fresh veggies and not to much meat... More

La Bou's lunch fare is more inclusive than breakfast; however, if you just want a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich, this is the place. The same ladies have worked here for years, so you know you will get quick service. The soups and salads are surprisingly good for a cafeteria style café. I go here quite often when... More

Whenever I visit the area, I have to stop at La Bou for a croissant sandwich. Their croissants are little pieces of flaky, buttery heaven and they pile them high with bacon and sliced turkey. One of my favorite sandwiches anywhere. While you are there grab a ginger cookie and a cranberry almond scone. You will be glad you did.

La Bou on Five Star Blvd is in a shopping center and easy to find if you do a U-turn at the end of Five Star Blvd and head back toward Galleria Blvd. It is located in the front of a small and crowded parking lot with lots of surrounding businesses and space is limited, I was lucky to find... More

This is a great spot for a cafe lunch. The croissants are delicious- the baguettes are soft and crusty. In short- the food is fresh and yummy! The service is somewhat slow, and not necessarily friendly. Sometimes I feel there is a language barrier when I ask for something special (extra mustard). The other con- the prices are a little... La Bou Rocklin is the best cafe/bakery EVER! The service is amazing and their staff is the friendliest staff I have ever had in 50 years! I would recommend their bread and dill dip or their paninis. But really you can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

My favorite quick lunch - half sandwich/half salad or soup - way to go for a quick healthy lunch.
