Visited the Cafe for lunch with family while visiting. Great food, great service, and excellent prices. Best red chili sauce I've ever had. Pork cooked to perfection.

The Goodwin family have been coming to the Medina's for food since they were a few chairs on the corner of Park and 8th (University) in 1963. I have never appreciated the mole more than now when I'm in my sixties, it's comforting! Generations attest to the popularity of their family recipes. We really enjoyed you on Friday Zacatecas! Great food. Great service. They have several different salsa that are all excellent. They just moved to new location, a lot more convenient

Our family was in Riverside for our son's graduation from UCR for his phD. We stayed at the Dynasty Hotel and right next to it was the wonderful Zacatecas Café. It was such a delightful surprise and the place was packed. It opened only a week ago. What food, the sauces had so much depth, a really genuine rich taste.... More

My husband and I regularly eat at Zacatecas- it's great little restaurant near downtown Riverside with a wonderful homey atmosphere and great food. There's lots of history in this place - old pictures on the walls tell the story of the original owners and their family. You feel like you are in someone's kitchen eating their fresh salsa, which is... More

I'm a very good judge of Mexican food because I AM a great Mexican cook! So when I don't feel like cooking I go to Zacatecas. The next best thing to my food. I go there at least once a week.

We have been going to this family owned restaurant for 40 years. The recipes have been handed down through the generations and the quality of the food is superb. Without a doubt, this is the best old style Mexican food in Riverside.

TV's aren't blaring and people aren’t screaming and the drinks, well I don’t know. You go to Zacatecas for the delicious, authentic handmade tortillas and Mexican treats. You can skip the rice but who really cares about rice. The menudo is what Menudo is supposed to taste like. Forget that you’re in one of the poorer neighborhoods of Riverside and... More

Anyone that says this is average or below food is Cacarazy! If you can't handle a little real neighborhood mexican or latin culture atmosphere go to Bakers or Del Taco. What if you were to go where Rick Bayless finds some great dining in the some poor neighborhoods! Of course Zac's is not the Riviera. Okay,I am a big fan... More

Visited for a late Saturday night take-out. The service was outstanding. The food was not fancy but extremely tasty and very good. Local gem and wish their was one closer to home.
