Coming back from France, I was really craving for authentic french style flaky pastry croissant. Not the usual fluffy ones found in the US. Having gone a few times. It was hard to decide whether to award a average or very good rating to this place. Pros: Lots of curb appeal. Beautiful pastry case Nice sidewalk tables in the warm... More

This a good spot for a coffee & pastry or a light meal with quiche, sandwiches, etc. Good coffee, nice decor. Any visit is a good excuse to take home some pastries, too. Macarons, Napoleons, tartes, mousses, eclairs, and those ever-so-hard-to-find canneles. Outdoor tables are nicely enclosed from the sidewalk for an illusion of privacy. Only criticism is that the... A cafe with a French flavor. The food was very good. Quiet enough to visit with friends. Staff was friendly and efficient.

So everything I've had here has been really good. I especially like the ham and cheese croissant and also the sea salt cranberry chocolate chip oatmeal cookies they make there. I'll usually have a coffee or mocha with them. All their baked items tastes really fresh. Price is a little on the expensive side, but worth it to me as... More

I love the food here. Fresh and delicious. I love the roasted vegetable baguette, the macchiato and Russian tea cakes. It has enough variety to satisfy any craving. Plus, the staff is super friendly.

Wonderful family run (woman owned) French style bakery and cafe. Simply the best. This is our favorite place for breakfast, lunch, and brunch.

In appearance, Pamplemousse cafe is the pluperfect Bay Area restaurant/cafe. The store is spotlessly clean and shiny. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The shelves of cakes and pastries look like they should be photographed for a magazine. The only problem is that the cakes--which is what we bought--weren't all that good. OK--they really looked good. Elegantly decorated, elegantly wrapped.... More

We have breakfast or lunch here every time we're in town, 24 times and counting. Tarts, pastries, macarons, sandwiches, lattes, and salads. In downtown RD City, sidewalk tables and inside, marble top tables. Mais oui!

If you like French-style bakeries, Pamplemousse is well worth a visit. My wife and I had breakfast there recently. Although the dessert-type pastries looked inviting, they were probably from the night before, so we stuck to the fresh-looking items. The danish with fruit filling was excellent. The dough was the same as you would get with a croissant, and the... More

We enjoyed dining outside at this restaurant in the charming historic district of Redwood City. Morning coffee and pastries excellent and the people who work there are very pleasant.
