We were on a vacation and visiting family. They suggested we all go to Martins West Gastropub. They wanted somewhere to watch the Stanford game while eating since they both just graduated this year, We arrived and were seated at a table that had a good view of 2 televisions. We ordered drinks. Then we ordered dinner. Fish and chips... More

This is the first time I dined at Martins West Pub, at the invitation of friends. At first glance everything appears to be set for an enjoyable evening. A nicely preserved historic building, well stocked bar, inviting menu, and many people apparently enjoying themselves. The bartender made a great show of shaking cocktails vigorously. I ordered a call Scotch Martini.... More

Martins West has some really good and interesting appetizers that you don't normally find: haggis and Scotch Eggs. The haggis is flavored with spices and whatnot so that it's not as strong tasting as it can be, which is a good thing for most people. The Scotch eggs were breaded Quail eggs. I enjoyed both, and it's fun to try... More

Came in here multiple times for the Moscow Mules and their delectable appetizers! The place has such a great friendly ambience, really attentive staff, very energetic and friendly. We made friends with one of the bar tenders who hooked us up with some sample shots, and it was really good. The best Moscow mules ever!!! And it's just a walking... More

The first thing you do when you enter this restaurant is to ask, “Are you serving a large party this evening?” If the answer is “yes,” leave. Unfortunately we did not know to do this on our recent visit. My wife and I met our daughter, her husband, and two kids to celebrate her birthday at Martins West Gastropub at... More

I can't believe it took me 7 years to discover this restaurant. The ambiance is both rustic and industrial. The food was wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented. The wine list is extensive and with a great offering of beers on tap. Definitely will return to this pub. The source of the ingredients is listed on the back of the menu.

Nice drinks and food options. Good for dates or to go with friends. Noise level is lower than most bars.

This place hearkens to the early days of The Spotted Pig in NYC's West Village: delicious and creative food that exceeds expectations for pub fare, lively and vibrant atmosphere, and an excellent selection of drinks different from most other establishments. This gastropub could easily hold its own in downtown SF, so if you're anywhere near Redwood City consider yourself lucky... More

Great food! Absolutely love the scotch eggs. Great beer, whiskey, wine, and cocktail selection. You can't go wrong eating at Martin's West, and the drinking isn't bad, either!
