This place hearkens to the early days of The Spotted Pig in NYC's West Village: delicious and creative food that exceeds expectations for pub fare, lively and vibrant atmosphere, and an excellent selection of drinks different from most other establishments. This gastropub could easily hold its own in downtown SF, so if you're anywhere near Redwood City consider yourself lucky... More

Great food! Absolutely love the scotch eggs. Great beer, whiskey, wine, and cocktail selection. You can't go wrong eating at Martin's West, and the drinking isn't bad, either!

Unusual menu, hard to characterize but all choices were well prepared and very tasty. Drinks are moderately priced.

I find it hard to believe anyone would give this restaurant a "1". Well, maybe after you whined about the wait staff not knowing what beer you would like... I have to say after reading that they refused to admit you dressed as pirates, it made me smile. We give it a strong 4. But I am giving it a... More

I really like the place: it is very cost and they have a large range of beers, whisky and Rhum. Service is really helpful to advice you depending on your preference They have also pretty good tapas like meals so you can share. Great!

My friends and I stumbled on this place a few months ago had a few drinks and tried the bone marrow! I literally had dreams about this bone marrow from that night until about a week ago when I finally returned for more! Their menu is just a big tease, you want everything on it! But you MUST try the... More

Had dinner early one Saturday evening, just before the main rush. We definitely enjoyed the unusual food combinations on the menu. The croquettes were excellent, as was the poutine. Prices are slightly on the high side and portions are not huge, however the flavours are excellent. Service was definitely a little slow. Drinks were never asked to be refilled, which... More

The food here is pretty amazing and their selection of beers are always on point. They also have some of the most friendly/knowledgeable bartenders that make some incredible libations. Try the Moscow Mule made with their house made ginger beer... delicious.

Pros: - when food actually arrived 60-90 minutes (who's counting?) after ordering, I was told that some of it was good. Fish oiliness was particularly noteworthy. So there is a potential heart health benefit in that fish oil in an otherwise unflattering preparation. - you eventually get to leave and In and Out burger is a short drive away. Cons:... More
