My family and I stopped in for lunch at this location and really enjoyed our meals. Everything came out hot and fresh, the fries were delicious (add the seasoning, I recommend it), and the Kona pie at the end was the best way to finish off the meal.
I had the Kilauea Burger, which had the right amount of spice on it!
Our server was very friendly and helpful. He did forget my chocolate shake, but quickly corrected that!
Easy to get to, it is near a shopping center as well as a number of other stores!

Located in Redondo Beach, California, this Island's is very good. Island's is a small chain so it differs little from place to place. But the service can be lacking in one and great in another.
We were just at this one. It seems we have been eating at a lot of Island's lately. My grandson loves the place and he tends to get what he wants. The food is super. They have upgraded their meats and their burgers are wonderful and you have a selection from which to choose. They also have great sides and their nachos are the bomb.
Parking is easy and the service was very friendly and they checked on us several times. We had this wonderful brownie desert with ice cream and boy was that good.
The place was super clean. My only concern is that they need to make people wear their masks or take their life threating germs elsewhere. We saw people waiting to sit, no masks. Now, this is illegal and must be enforced. Other than that we loved this Islands and will be back.

We visited recently on the recommendation of friends and were so glad that we took the time to go. The cocktails are delicious and more importantly, they have seating for large groups (there were 10 of us). Kids meal is pretty standard, adult menu has some more adventurous items. The burgers are delicious the fries are endless and served family style. Wishing there was one local to us in Kentucky!

Got off the plane, rented a car, and were driving to our hotel when we turned off to visit Nordstrom Rack on a whim. When that’s over, we decide we hungry. Why not try this Island place, don’t even need to move the car. What a pleasant beginning to our first visit to California. The beach decor is funky and fun. Busy place full of all ages so that usually speaks well of a joint. Love the variety of burgers and other sandwiches. I love it when a menu makes it hard to choose. I ended up having a burger that had a little bite to it - very nice. Daughter had fish tacos - very nice. Wife had veggie burger. She’s not usually a veggie burger gal. In fact I don’t recall her ever ordering a veggie burger. She ended up very pleased with it, even mentioning it later in the weekend. Fries and sweet potato fries were good. All in all we were happy to stop here and would stop again if we ever make it back this way.

Once a year I visit the US and I love to go to Islands to have a meal. Enjoyed a nice meal out on the patio and I loved that the patio was dog friendly! They even bring out a little water bowl...so sweet. Delicious food & $5 Mai Tais special...yum. Enjoyed a Shorebird chicken burger on a wheat bun and awesome fries!

I live in the local area, and this was my first visit to this particular Island's Burger Restaurant as a friend came to join me before we drove to The LA Kings NHL hockey game on Sat. January 6th, 2018. My pal had the fish tacos, while I had their Kilauea Burger (With a black pepper and jalapeño spread baked onto the Beef Patty) along with the sliced Pepperjack cheese and a aioli spread, this burger was spicy and delicious!!! I had a side salad instead of fries. The service was excellent, and we were able to dine in and leave within 50 mins. It was an excellent choice. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Gay friendly. Most Sundays, after church, I take my 84 year old Mother to lunch or brunch. We like going to Islands restaurant because, the food is good and the place is lively! This past Sunday, we went to the Islands in Redondo Beach. The day was on the cooler side and my mom did not bring a jacket. Seeing my Mother was cold I mention to our server (Chelsea) if there was a warmer place to sit. She looked although, the restaurant was the same temperature everywhere. Chelsea then offered to go to her car and bring her jacket to my Mother! At first, I said no thank you although, she seemed genuine in her offer so, I accepted. This is going the extra mile; thank you. You have a customer for life!

The tropical atmosphere makes this a fun place. Sports bar-ish with lots of TVs. Mostly burgers here, lots of iterations. The fries are especially good so you gotta have them. Service is friendly. Comfortable spot to grab a burgery meal.

The theme is surfing and Polynesian/Hawaiin. Grass hut overhangs and surfboards and a very busy noisy bar area and sports on the big screens everywhere. Hubby likes the spicy Kilauea jalapeño burger and I like the Maui avocado burger. Sons like the chili cheese fries. Burgers come with endless fries and they will bring you hot ones if yours cool off.

Wait persons leave a lot to be desired. After an $11.00 meal I placed a $20.00 on the table. The waitress asked if I wanted change. Seriously? This was not the only time that a 35% - 50% tip appeared to be expected.

Stopped here for a quick lunch with the wife. This location is a little smaller than the one on PCH few miles away.
Had the Mavericks burger, the best part about it is the crispy strips of red onions, they call it " Island Reds". It had a hint of sweetness that i was not sure, what it was at first.
Check out the lunch special menu, it's good Monday -Friday till 4:00pm. It has a good selection of items , including the original Wave burger..
I really like Islands staff, that no matter how busy the place is, they are always friendly, attentive, and on point. Regardless of the location you are visiting.

I ordered lunch for pickup. We call it in and wait outside. It was pretty crowded. But by the time i parked my truck, the waitress was already waiting for me. Burgers were hot. The fires were a tad cold. However the meal was very good.

My husband and I were staying at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. We were driving around and needed some lunch. We stumbled upon Islands Restaurant and decided to give it a try.
They seem to be known for their burgers; which my husband had. He said it was good. I had the veggie tacos; and they were also good. The only thing was that the corn tortilla was REALLY thick; I prefer corn tortillas to be thinner then double up.
We don't have Islands Restaurants where we live, so this was a little different - but still a chain restaurant for sure.
Service was ok; nothing crazy; and everyone was really nice!
