Went there for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were seated right away, our drink order taken. We ordered their dinner special. This came with soup, paper wrap chicken, fried won ton, fried rice and 2 dishes, chicken chow mein & sweet and sour chicken....All of it was very tasty and had great flavor. You get a lot of food for your money. I would highly recommend eating here.More

A somewhat typical, straightforward Chinese, with its expansive, difficult-to-choose menu. Decent tastes, thou nothing to write home about. Friendly service, for sure. Most patrons came for takeaway.

Not a good soup choice. The beef and egg white soup had hardly any meat. The appetizer choice was poorly made. I have only one thing to say that the staff was friendly. A health inspector came in to look at the grease trap and...needs to come back. I would not go back because of this issue.More

Don't expect Monterey Park pizzaz, however, this place provides satisfying dishes of typical American style Chinese food. You'll find all the familiar dishes. My group tried the Kung Pao Chicken, Beef and Tomatoes, and the sizzling garlic shrimp. All were well prepared and very tasty....The decor is 1970/1980 era and could stand a spruce up. Otherwise a very good option for Chinese in the South Bay.More

We had a half order of Peking Duck with pancakes instead of buns and an order of fried chicken wings. The duck was quite good but the pancakes were more akin to Mexican tortillas than those usually served with this dish. As such, they were...a bit too heavy and detracted from the other flavors. The chicken wings had a nice crunchiness and were covered with sliced grilled jalapeños. However, they were much saltier than they needed to be. The dining area is a pleasant lime green with tasteful Chinese decorations. And the menu is quite extensive for a restaurant of its size. And many tables featured the ubiquitous “Lazy Susan,” making sharing dishes easier. We were impressed enough to consider a return visit to sample some other menu items.More

Stopped in after a craving for Chinese food, just driving by. It was really really good!!! Had the orange peel chicken and lo mein chicken. Outstanding !!!!! Ill definitely go back. Only down side is maybe a little expensive for Chinese food. But, the portions...were very large!!!More

We stumbled upon this little unassuming Chinese restaurant one day and we are so glad we did. The server and I assume owner are friendly enough and the food is good. I had the pan fried noodle, triple delight and the sesame chicken and they...were all delicious. The portion sizes are generous and the service was friendly. We will definitely be back.More

Prior to my wife & I getting married, our favorite Chinese restaurant was the Emerald Garden. As it's been several years since we've eaten there, we were close by and decided to stop for dinner. The menu looked the same, but not the workers. Seems...that they are under new ownership. Instead of being seated, we were told to sit anywhere. Our waitress finally came to the table but didn't ask about drinks. She took our order and took off. After a while, I asked a gentleman if we could have some fried noodles to munch on. The small plate he brought consisted of some editable noodles, but half the plate had burnt ones (Not appetizing to even look at!). The fried rice did not appear to be fried (there was a small amount of egg in it), and the sweet and sour chicken had a different brand of chicken than in the past. In addition, the rice pudding was a favorite and served warm... Ours was cold out of the fridge! At best, this place has fallen to almost average (call it average minus). Maybe you will have better luck.More

We discovered this restaurant two weeks ago and have eaten there four times. My picky son who won't eat anything but burgers and spaghetti has found things he will eat on the menu. We have eaten different things on each visit and all have been...good with one exception. Twice I've had egg foo young. The veggie was great, the shrimp foo young was stiff. The shrimp doesn't have anything to do with that because it was added on top after the patty was cooked. The shrimp was great and I have to tell you, we consumed the entire dish and the kids didn't notice. I recommend this place without hesitation.More

Ordered lunch special Kung Pao Scallops with fried rice and initially received a shrimp dish with white rice. Told the waitress I got the wrong food and she argued that's what I ordered, which I denied. She next told me they don't have a scallop...and fried rice dish but took the shrimp dish back to the kitchen to a loud crash and straight away brought me the Kung Pao Scallops which wasn't all that.More

We live at the south end of the town, and rarely get to the north end, but after a movie we were looking for a place to eat. We ate here years ago and in checking TripAdvisor we found two reviews, one excellent and the...other terrible. We figured we'd go based on our past experience, which had been average. We have now found our go to Chinese Restaurant! The service was incredibly prompt and the waitress has a beautiful smile which makes for an enjoyable experience. We ordered the least priced, $10.95, combination dinner. We had the best eggflower soup---fresh and tasty. Eggrolls, fried wontons, and paperwrapped chicken. The eggrolls were good, the fried wontons skimpy on the filling, and the chicken a little greasy. We had 4 main entrees, our favorite was the noodles---quite tasty. The pork and broccoli was fair, the pork didn't have much taste. The sweet and sour chicken was good and the one other dish, which I can't remember the name of was quite good. For $50 we had enough food to feed 6, rather than our 4, so we came home with lots of left overs. The food was artfully presented, a swan made out of veggies and fruit on one of the dishes. The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated. This restaurant is well worth your time and money.More
