We enjoy the wine, food and ambience of Grape Escape. We have also joined the wine club and have enjoyed some excellent wines. I recommend you go in and enjoy some good wine and the excellent crepes, soups and pizzas made by a very friendly...chef.More

Jim and Mary have made this little place very welcoming. You will not find these wines at Costco! Besides the fine selection of wines, they offer light appetizers and have a wine club.

We were looking for a couple of good bottles of wine and chanced upon the Grape Escape. The proprietor is a collector of interesting local California wines and is very knowledgable. A little hidden gem.

If you know that great wine is made outside of Napa and can be enjoyed for a fraction of the price then you are probably already a member of the Grape Escape. Yummy appetizers, friendly service and great wine

For a small place in Redding we were surprised to find Macchia and other great wines. Very good! A very discerning wine purchaser. Thank you!

Great wine and atmosphere. Live music on the weekends. Good food and big selection of wine. Great help on wine selection and wine samples. Right next to the historic Cascade Theater in downtown Redding.

Jim, the owner of the Grape Escape, is a wine expert who personally visits wineries and vineyards throughout the state to bring interesting wines at great prices to downtown Redding. The new site next to the Cascade Theater is convenient and the inside is charming...- cozy, clean and sets the atmosphere with old-style architecture and wine-related decor. Both times I've visited, I discovered wines that I had not heard of, but that impressed me enough to buy some bottles for my already overstocked wine cabinet. It's fun to hear the stories of the wineries as you sip their wines. And the staff does a great job of finding wines off the current tasting list for sampling if they see that the customer's palate matches something they have stashed in their cellar. I've not tried the food that is offered, but the limited menu was inviting. Having sampled wine all over the U.S. and many different countries, I am very happy that Redding now has a fun and interesting venue for both experienced aficionados and those who are new to the enjoyment of wine.More
