I lived in New Orleans for 7 years, and travelled the South quite a bit, sampling delicacies allong the way. A barbeque restaurant was always just a few blocks away when I travelled the southern states, and that's alright by me because I love the stuff. It is great to see that tradition is alive and well at Fat Daddy's... More

The food is fresh, the staff friendly, and the place is unique. Used to be an old drive-in (some will rememeber what that means). The Pulled Pork sandwich is their signature sandwich. It is SUPER. If you dont try it, it will be one of your biggest regrets later. And wait till you see the ceiling inside!!!!

Wanted a quick delicious lunch and found Fat Daddy's. It did not disappoint; was the best this side of Missouri!

One day and night in Redding. Hungry for a BBQ sandwich plate. Find Fat Daddy's not too far from my job site. Old drive-in style location… just my kind of place. As recommended by the staff, ordered a half tri-tip/half pulled pork sandwich on garlic bread. Asked what sides were made in-house - went with the bbq beans. First tasted... More

The BBQ potato was a good idea. We really enjoyed our lunch. Large portions and I can still smell the BBQ sauce on my hands. Their spicy isn't, but the BBQ sauce is good and they have bottles for sale by the door.

Walked into a happy place for dinner, NO Chain BBQ Crap on the walls, just a bunch of well wishing dollar bills hanging all over the place. Dude behind the counter was supercool and willing to chat Q. Ordered the Ribs based on recommendation and was not disappointed with them. Great sauce. Only reason for not rating this 5 stars?... Big sandwiches! And excellent sauce. Having moved here from TX, I was hesitant to try California BBQ but these guys have it dialed. Interesting décor with dollar bills all over the ceiling and walls, and the workers are cool. Easy access and parking. Definitely recommend the pulled pork, and ask for extra sauce!

Been stopping here for lunch on trips up and down I 5 and have never been disappointed in the quality of their BBQ, especially the pulled pork and chicken. Next time it will be the cesear salad with chicken or the pork, really looked good. Friendly staff and prompt service. Located in an old style drive up restaurant, will bring... More

This is a good place but hardly great. We tried a couple sandwiches and a rack of baby backs. Friendly service, nice clean place (a converted A and W), but can't say the BBQ was noteworthy. The meats were not very tasty on their own an lacked the smokey flavor we we're expecting. Some spices and rub would have helped.... More
