I visit Black Bear Diner about 4 or 5 times a year and it never disappoints. The service is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the food is always good and correctly cooked.

We stopped at Big Bear Diner after seeing several billboards on our drive up I-5 from Sacramento. We stopped in Redding, CA for lunch. Cute diner, Service and food very good, prices good. Recommended for everyone.

I have been to several Black Bear Diners up and down California. Away a good meal for breakfast, lunch or diner. Mid range in price, but always with large portions. The service has always been very good. They are always busy when we go into the ones in Redding and Mt Shasta.

We had the special, Prime Rib. But it wasn't fresh Prime Rib; must have been the day before and they pan fried it. The baked potatoes tasted like it had cooked for a week. We have always had wonderful meals at all the other Black Bear Diners. We were very disappointed with our meal.

The closest Black Bear Diner to us in over 100 miles away but I'll tell you what...it is worth the drive. We travel in our RV and when the billboards start letting you know that you're coming up on one of the many locations, my tummy starts to growl. Our grandkids couldn't believe it the first time we took them... More

We would stop here every night we are in town and the food was great each nighy. We were in town for a week. Thanks... More

We saw the signs for the Black Bear Diner along I-5 going north near Shasta Lake. It was around noon and we had to wait about 25 minutes for a booth. The menu was huge with all kinds of breakfast, lunch and dinner options The service and food was good but the portions were too large for us. They do... More
