My husband's tamale was very dry and didn't taste like much of anything. My tostada was tasty and came with whole beans as requested. Service was very good. Received chips and salsa on the table.

My wife and I happened upon Puerto Vallarta on our trip from Los Angeles to Ashland. Being from LA, we're pretty critical when it comes to Mexican food!! That said, we were prepared for mediocre at best! What a surprise!! The food at Puerto Vallarta is great!! The guacamole is fresh and delicious and the carnitas are terrific!!! You can... More

Meal was decent. I ordered the Chicken Carnitas and they were about as good as most places. Nothing really stood out. The flavor was good, the veggies were crisp, and the tortilla's were decent enough. Definitely not worth going out of your way for but if you work/live in the area then the food is about right.

We went here three times and tried something different every time. The chips are a little too thick and seems greasy. The salsa was too hot for me but they also bring refried beans that worked. The meats, chicken and ground beef didn't have much flavor. Just the same thing inside another tortilla slathered with mostly flavorless sauce, rice, and beans.... More

The drinks were outstanding! Food was good but I've had better at other places. Prices seemed slightly steep. Four drinks, four meals, tip, etc. came to $76.00. Ok for the birthday we were celebrating, but I think I would go elsewhere next time

First, the good news. The wait staff could not have been more helpful. They were attentive and took us under their wing at first sight. Congratulations. Two of our group of four are devoted foodies and unfortunately Puerto Vallarta didn't measure up. The arroz con pollo was not tasty at all so most of it got left on the plate.... More

I have been in Redding for three months (originally from Fresno) and I have been hankering for good Mexican food. I have been told Redding doesn't have high quality Mexican food but I found some great options at Puerto Vallarta! Their chips are to die for - and I've had some good ones in my life. The salsa is awesome... More

The service is fast, and the ambiance is festive. The food is authentic Mexican. I have been several times, and have enjoyed everything I ordered

We passed our driver license exams and we wanted to celebrate. I saw this mexican restaurant and figured it would do. But it was anything but ordinary, it was great, great music, great service, and great tasting food. My wife spilled my drink on me because she wanted to taste it and they replaced it for free!!! They served copious... More

My family, friends and me have been going there since they opened which was before I moved out of the area in 1998. They are always wonderful, not just the food but the staff! My sister has had many a party in their group room, everything from baby showers to kids birthdays. They are always so good to us. They... More
