Went there to celebrate parents 13th leap year anniversary (52 yrs) and had a wonderful evening. The setting and table was very nice and the people were excellent. Dinner was perfect in every way, there where 6 of us and all were delighted with their...meal. Truly a first class place, best I have seen in Redding. A wonderful evening. Thank youMore

This is my go to place. The service is always excellent, the food varies from season to season, and I can always count on having an excellent meal. They have a great bar menu as well and sometimes I like to go with friends there...to just have a glass of wine and the bar “smaller portion” menu.More

We arrived around 8 pm on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy but we were greeted promptly by the friendly young hostess who set up a table for us in between taking food out to tables. She poured water for us and told...us our server would be by to explain the specials. We waited. We waited some more. We flagged down the hostess to ask her about the specials. She did her best to describe them but said our server would elaborate. So we waited. At one point he breezed by and said he would be right with us. We then waited another 15 min and were just about to leave when he finally graced us with his presence. No apology. When we told him we had been waiting a long time, he “explained” to us that the restaurant was very busy. When my husband said that no one had even been by to take a drink order or go over the specials, he brusquely said “Well there are no specials. They’re all sold out.” and when we reinforced that we were not receiving an acceptable level of service, instead of asking how he could make it up to us, he defensively asked “Well what am I supposed to do?” We then told him that we would leave, and he flippantly said “Well I’m sorry that you had a bad experience”. An inauthentic expression of sympathy is hardly an apology. As we left, two other servers who had witnessed our interaction saccharinely chimed “Have a great evening!” Upon returning to our hotel and explaining our situation to the front desk, we were then referred to Jack’s. Ironically, Jack’s turned out to be the antithesis of Clearie’s: unpretentious, a simple menu, excellent personable service, friendly neighbourhood vibe and great food. The reputation of a “successful” business will eventually be undermined by its weakest links.More

Had dinner 12.28.19. Place was PACKED so we ate at the bar. I think our bartender's name was Halley. I went there for their brussel sprouts appertizer. So good. Had the stuffed filet (never had anything like that before). The bleu cheese kinda over powered...the meat but it was perfectly cooked and I'm sure lots of people would love it. My dates Duck was great. Despite how busy they were the service from Halley was EXCELLENT and the food came out in a timely manner. Also when we asked for food containers to go an employee was nice enough to pack it for us. I always appreciate that extra effort. Wish I had gotten her name.More

Exceptional food and upscale restaurant. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. They offer gluten free options and have never disappointed in their selection. only reason I took a star off was for price but then again that is...relative.More

Asparagus stuffed sole was very good. Served with a creamy red rice and soup or salad. Mushroom soup was tasty but a bit too salty for my taste. Nice, friendly wait staff. Too pricey at $28.

My wife & I tried them & their food is very good. Priced a little high for the neighborhood but nice. Due to the price, it is more a place for a special occasion.

Great reviews. Atmosphere, service, clenliness excellent. I ordered the lamb. The rissoto with it was superb. The two tiny lamb chops were almost tasteless and tough.
