Most of the restaurants in Red Bluff appeared to be Mexican or fast food. We looked around town before heading back to the only steakhouse we passed. Outdoor seating was not set up. Guess most people around there don't eat out in the heat. The inside is dark and kind of gloomy. Most of the people seemed to be regulars.... More

Visited because of reviews. Heather was a great server was prompt and friendly. The food was a nice surprise. My husband had an excellent steak & potato while I had the artichoke chicken. Both were moist and flavorful. Ambiance is traditional diner, and it was clear the locals frequented. Always a good sign.

Reuben and sweet potato fries were great. The cheesecake looked good, though really too big. Quick and pleasant service.

My wife and I arrived at Green Barn before 6p. We watched while several later-arriving tables rec'd their meals well before we rec'd ours. Finally, our crab cakes appetizer w/ "special dipping sauce" arrived. The cakes were not quite as good as high school cafeteria food, and the "special dipping sauce?" Cocktail sauce. We shared our main dish (steak and... More

We stopped in on our way to Oregon. The server could not have been more kind or attentive. This was a solid basic meal. We loved the garlic toast which harkened back to our childhood, thick with just the right amount of garlic butter. The salads were fresh and the blue cheese dressing was delicious. I really thought the onion rings... More

If you are looking for great steaks in Red Bluff, look no farther. We stopped in Red Bluff after touring Mt Lassen and did not expect such a good restaurant in a small town. I had the Filet Mignon and my wife had the Petite Steak. Not a fancy restaurant but the food was great.

Great food and service. We were met by our excellent server. Lovely dinner, would eat here again if I was in the area.

I ordered the beef tips. Tasted like cheap stew meat that was put on the grill and covered for a few minutes then dumped in extremely salty brown water. The staff wasn't very friendly. No one checked on us or asked if we needed anything or how our meal was.

This place needs a serious face life and brought into the 21st century. Meal was terrible. Shrimp was pea size frozen and they served Texas toast for bread. Yuk, yuk yuk. A would not recommend this at all.

Four of us feasted at The Green Barn after traversing Mt Lassen. Very, very good meal and top service from a very friendly and efficient lady server. Succulent steak, excellent burger and tasty trimmings plus good Sierra Nevada beer. What more can you ask for?
