Great food, very good drinks and excellent Customer Service. It was a fantastic experience dining here, everything was on point from the moment we walked in, drinks, food and service. I highly recommend!

This LGBT+ friendly restaurant used to be the "it" place to dine and be seen in Rancho Mirage. We chose this place due to our fond memories of dining here in past trips to Palm Springs. Sadly, the atmosphere is like dinner in an Assisted...Living dining room. The food was very good, and our server was fantastic, but the atmosphere felt like we were the youngest diners here (and we're in our early 60's). Sadly, we won't return.More

As usual during this evening's visit we enjoyed great service. The main room is noisier than we like, but the noise can be cancelled out with the great food.

We had not driven over from Palm Springs to this Rancho Mirage classic in 12 years . Atmosphere abounds and this is old school dark and romantic . I would certainly prefer you not bringing young kids as why would anyone want to spoil the...mood . Very solid food ; very solid bar . This could easily be regarded as a “special dinner” house .More

The service and wait staff were prompt and courteous. The four people I went with enjoyed a variety of meals ranging from various seafoods to chicken dishes. All enjoyed their meals. I decided to order the ribeye steak. The price was $48 dollars and initially...I was skeptical about the lack of portion sizes on the menu and failed to ask my waiter how many ounces the steak was. The portion I was served was so thin (maybe 1/4") that I was shocked. I ordered a medium steak that probably took two minutes to cook and came without a sear. A liquid and unappetizing blue cheese salad dressing was poured over the top. I choked it down but made the decision to never get a steak at Shame on the Moon. In fact, I have one thing to say to them, "shame on you."More

Best restaurant experience we have had during our stay in Palm Desert. Be sure not to miss this one! Lovely, spacious, and comfortable seating. Excellent service all around. Perhaps the management treats their staff extra well because there were none of the service gaps that...the local area seems to be suffering, with restaurants closing early or opening not at all due to staff shortages. The food is excellent. Their signature dish is, uncommonly, sautéed calves liver brimming with onions, bacon, scrumptious sides of mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. My husband was in heaven over this dish. And my baked horseradish-encrusted salmon fillet was equally scrumptious. A great evening out in the desert! Even a full moon outside, while visiting “Shame on the Moon”. We will soon be back!More

An outstanding dinner, appetizers and mains both excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Warm and welcoming ambiance. The only weak point was the wine list which had a wide selection of very economical wines but no upscale wines to match the quality of my rack of...lamb. I highly recommend Shame on the Moon to all!!More

My horseradish crusted salmon was mild and flavorful; the entire dish reminded me of dinners with my father in pricey Manhattan restaurants. They generously switched the garlic mashed potatoes for pilaf. Additionally, Michael served with aplomb, always keeping each person’s comfort in mind which I...found to be a great relief being allergic to certain ingredients. All of us were members of the clean plate and breadbasket refill club! Thanks for the memorable evening!More

I went here with 2 friends on a Friday evening for dinner. We made reservations, which is definitely necessary during the pandemic. The restaurant does an excellent job with the COVID restrictions with the staff all wearing masks, sanitizer being readily available and tables spaced...out accordingly. I feel they definitely go for the total dining experience, which I love. We started with drinks and appetizers. We had the crab cakes (very good) and the shrimp cocktail (very good). For my entree, I had the salmon filet, which was excellent. My friends had the New York Steak (excellent) and the angel hair pasta with alfredo and chicken (excellent). We had 2 desserts and I don't remember exactly what they were. One was a chocolate cake that was good while the other was a peanut butter chocolate mix that was amazing! Service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. One item to note is that they will not separate checks, only 1 check per table. Additionally, they have a cool and hopping bar area. I definitely plan on coming back here, soon.More

We came back here to order my birthday dinner and take it home, and I'm happy it was still delicious! I miss eating in and the warm greeting we always got from Ginger as soon as we walked in, but we were still greeted warmly...by the gentleman who brought out our food, and we appreciated that he was very conscientious about social distancing and being safe during the process. Memorable!More

Popular place, w/ every other table occupied the midweek night we went. A significant portion of my seared ahi steak was inedible due to sinew; and it plus the stir-fried veggies it sat on were swimming in far too much soy sauce. Prices above average,...but good service. This was my first visit to Shame on The Moon and though disappointed in my ahi, I'd give it another try.More
