While happy hour has a limited menu and you can only sit by the bar to order the specials, the atmosphere was nice. We visited on a Friday night/ it was pretty quite since "season" hasn't started. I'm sure the place is busier when all the snowbirds come back. Our waitress Maria was great she had other tables but kept... More

Roy's is a super dining experience. We reserved a table for my wife's birthday on Monday. Everything on this dinner was great. The server, known only a Da David , was a lot of fun and highly knowledge on all menu items. The second visit was exactly the same, even the parking attendant made a super effort tp get the... More

We ordered the Summer Special and the pork chop looked like we got a full hind quarter. It was huge and delicious. We got a full 3 course meal for less than $40 and it was worth that and more. The dessert was amazing. Making a reservation online was also extremely easy.

My favorite place to sit at Roy's is at the counter. There are 10 seats available on a first come - first served basis. You can watch the kitchen staff while they work their magic, and even get offered a complimentary tasting now and then if you are a regular. My favorite dish is the Roy's Trio. I've stopped looking... More

I've had some wonderful memorable Roy's meals in Hawaii. So when travelzoo offered a coupon and we were traveling to Rancho Mirage where there is a Roy's Restaurant I was thrilled. The restaurant is nice but quite noisy. We were seated after 5 minutes, we did have a reservation. And then a shift- I told our waiter as soon as... More

We had the most wonderful experience at Roy's celebrating his 75th birthday. Everything was made special for the occasion. The food and service are excellent. Would highly recommend it. We plan on going to the one in Newport Beach which is much closer than Rancho Mirage. It was an experience we will never forget and will go there again when... More

I must admit that I went with a TravelZoo voucher for two for which there was a limited choice menu. The appetizers (3 small plates with chicken, shrimp and pork) which we shared was bland. The green salad that followed was better. My wife had the lemon grass chicken. The lemon grass dressing was great - she ordered another side... More

My husband and I decided on having our weekly date night at Roy's. We arrived early to enjoy happy hour before dinner. When it was dinner time, we were escorted to our table to enjoy a spectacular dinner. I had the Trio which was salmon, Mahi and butterfish. Yum! My husband had blackened Ahi. Both dishes were amazing. Chef Joey... More

Like their happy hour, especially their Mai tai and Hawaiian martinis. Good choices. I liked their sliders and tacos. I love their seafood. They have some great specials. Their butterfish is AMAZING. I also liked my wife's seared ahi. Our waiter, David, was super engaging and knowledgable, if a bit flippant in a fun and friendly way.
