Excellent Selection of Scrumptious Thai Food

I splurged having way too much for one person. Tom Yum - 'Spicy and Sour' soup with chicken was superb...good enough to bring home and enjoy the next day. Unlike so many renditions of this classic soup, this soup had lots of vegetables and chicken is a spicy broth that was memorable. Scallop Salad - gently cooked large scallops seasoned with lemon grass, mint leaves, chilies and onion on a bed of lettuce with a rich tasting lemon dressing

Excellent Thai Food!

Recommend the following: fish cakes, tom yum soup and soy noodles. Went after hustle and bustle of the business community had gone home. Fairly quiet on a weeknight. Bottom line, food was excellent. There are many Thai restaurants that shouldn’t call themselves Thai restaurants, Sala Thai is definitely not in that category and those that are should visit Sala Thai and learn how to properly make Thai dishes. Well done...

Difficult to access and mediocre food

I was staying at a nearby hotel and went to this restaurant for take out. The first problem is that it is difficult to access this restaurant and it's a good thing Google Maps helped me drive through a parking lot to find it. The food was mediocre; I've had better and I've had worse. The veggie spring rolls were over seasoned and over cooked, however, the pad se ew was very good. The original appetizer I wanted was beef satay, but they didn't have any...I was there in the early evening on a Friday night, how could you be out of a selection already? Overall, the food sustained me for the night, but I probably wouldn't go back.

Delicious food — Yum!

Delicious food — we ordered the 3 flavor fish and the yellow curry. Fish was perfect for my guest who simply cannot handle hot food. Ordered the curry “mild” — it was right on.

Will Be Back

Enjoyed a fantastic work lunch here in the back room private space. There were about 15 of us and the server was great, the food was delicious and I enjoyed the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The ambience here is wonderful, would be an excellent place for a meal with friends or a romantic date.

Local Thai place that makes a good curry

I especially love Thai curries. I've had at least 3 different curries here and loved all of them. I have always arrived on the late side, so never experienced the crowds or slow service others talk about. I've found the service to be good and the food to be delicious. I'll return to Sala Thai, and maybe try something beyond curry.

Just not the same 🙁

I don't know if this place is under new Management/Ownership but I have to say that they have gone down hill It sucks because I used to really like this place AND it's super close to my house. The last few times that I went in I have been disappointed but this last time really took the cake! I ordered Pad Thai and when the dish came to me it was swimming in sauce. I was literally confused because I've never had Pad Thai that was even remotely saucy. I didn't want to be "that Customer" so I gave it a try. I could only eat 2 bites and I was grossed out. I asked the Server if she'd ever seen Pad Thai that was saucy and she said no. She offered to bring me a new order. I agreed but my appetite was ruined by that point so I asked for it to go. When I got home I opened my box and it was a little better but still saucy. Till this day, I'm confused over their Pad Thai! I swear I've never had saucy Pad Thai before and I never want to have it again! Anyway, I'm super bummed because this place used to be really good ‍

Busy Lunch place with good food, but slow service

We were seated right away,it was fairly busy but had multiply open tables. It took a very long time before I order was taken. Preparation was about as expected. Food was very taste and a bit spicy, but that is always a personal thing. When we visit in the area again we would return.

It's terribly slow restaurant

it was a really terrible slow restaurant, went in 6:55 pm for dinner, finally the waitress came to get our order 7:30 pm, 8:06 I am starving, we asked the waitress if the order is cooking or not yet and the answer was not yet huh so we just leave, I was starving :-( By the way, this is a small restaurant, not a lot of people who come here that's why we choose it so that we can eat right away but I guess not..never come to this restraurant.

Great thai

Had the chance to eat here a number of times when in the area for work. The food is consistently good and they will make it plenty spicy if you want. Typically pretty quick service and very consistent preparation of the plates. Would eat here again tomorrow if I was in the area.

Fairly Decent Thai Food

The small room is nondescript. But, the food is better than average. The coconut soup and spring rolls went over well with our party of nine. My chili and basil with chicken was spicy hot and tasty...just the way I like it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the various noodle dishes. Our server managed to keep up, despite being the only one working the tables.

Fine stop for Thai

Sala Thai is located at the busy intersection of Zinfandel and White Rock, one of a lineup of eateries, all worth exploring for a casual lunch. They have nice wooden booth style tables, and speedy attentive service. Prices are moderate and the menu is extensive. My calamari salad was fresh and delicious. My companion enjoyed her green curry. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and hungry for Thai.

Good location for lunch and friends. Price is ok. Flavors are just so-so, but okay if you have people in your group who aren't familiar with other cultural foods.

Super Thai

Sala Thai is unexpected, a stand-alone treasure in the midst of fast food franchises. We were there on a Friday evening after most of the nearby fast food places had closed for the weekend, planning to reopen when this business-heavy complex reopened on Monday. Sala Thai seemed to be finding its stride as the tables filled with families and groups of friends. We're fans of the coconut milk soup known as Tom Kha, so we started with that. Theirs is a little different from some we've eaten, but compares favorably with anyone's. We also enjoyed Drunken Noodles and a Pineapple Rice dish we hadn't seen elsewhere. It was all good. We can recommend Sala Thai to anyone who enjoys good Thai food, especially if you like yours on the spicy side.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants around the area for me for lunch. The Drunken Noodles are far my favorite but the Yellow Curry is a close second. The service is the only hold up sometimes at lunch if you are on your lunch your.
