My husband and I wanted to do something after being inside after a few rainy days had kept us inside. A fried recommended this restaurant because they have a HUGE round fireplace in the middle of their restaurant that they light on cold and/or rainy days. The room is spacious and sitting by the fire added a special touch to... More

This place has personality! Large fireplace is always lit in the winter to warm this large space. Pictures on the walls seem to have been in place since the 1960s (think JFK & Jackie) they used to theme the tablecloths to the season (not sure if they still do this). Food is a good value & tastes good too

Our favorite mexican restaurant in town. Large open restaurant with plenty of seating. Very large wood burning fire place in the middle of the floor that really gives a great atmosphere on cold winter days.

This place has been here forever, it seems. The food is delicious and plentiful. Salsa verde is homemade and soooo... good! Family run and they really seem to care about their patrons.

I've been going here for years...you know how your memories are sometimes better than today's realities...? This restaurant is open space and dark, with no windows. No air conditioning or heating, but they do keep a lot of floor fans going during the hot months and an indoor fire pit for the cool months. It consists of assorted tables with... More

Had a great meal here. Much above normal Mexican food places. Very tasty--hey will put heat in it as you like. Staff was amazing. Very friendly. We felt at home. Talked about things to do etc. Then the rains came. An all time record downpour. We had a beer or tow after lunch to wait it out but no such... More

Family owned and operated. Very large room with an enormous wood burning fireplace in the middle. It is the food and the service that is so good. With the fireplace it obviously more enjoyable and interesting duing the cooler weather.

Very fresh food, prepared in home like manner. Big fire pit in center for cold days, best service ever.

The first time we spent the night in Ramona (up to see a show) we stopped in for drinks and appetizers. What a disappointment. The food is bland and generic Mex. No wine selection to speak of (cheap brand). Beer selection ok, nothing to rave about. The atmosphere is great though (esp in cold weather) with a huge firepit/fireplace in... More

This is the place! Winter time finds you enjoying the warmth of the huge wood burning raised firepit. The shredded beef tacos, mini super tostadas, chips and salsa are our fav. Grandma, daughters, granddaughters and nieces will ensure you have a good meal by checking in on your enjoyment of the food and to refresh your drinks, salsa and chips.
