The environment is nice. The amount of food you get is definitely satisfying and really good. Service was a bit concerning as there wasn't anyone around to seat for a few minutes.

Lovely attentive servers, great Martini. I have also had cocktails in the Quaint Bar (European in flavor) and I have had the bar menu ....very good and also lunch in the bar and upstairs, both excellant.

First I'll mention that my server and the manager were great, and I believe they did their best. But the chef is a lawsuit waiting to happen. After disclosing a food allergy to my server (and she checked with the kitchen), my meal arrived with an allergen on the plate. It was taken back to the kitchen and the chef... More

Very unpleasant experience in a restaurant we have gone to for years. Under new ownership. Pot roast was described by my husband as the worst food he had eaten since high school cafeteria food - dry, heavily salted, over-floured sauce, soggy over-cooked carrots. My soup, potato leek, was adequate but also heavily floured rather than creamy, topped with canned potato... More

Four of us dined at the Mac after playing in a bridge tournament. This was my first time there, There is a bar downstairs as well as dining, but we chose to eat upstairs. The food was wonderful. The drinks were also very good. We now go occasionally for lunch here and then to a small theater across the street... More

Point Richmond is somewhat out of the way (last exit on East side of San Rafael Bridge), but has a great vibe and small town feel. [Great to combine with a visit to the Rosie the Riveter Museum which is great and nearby.] The Hotel Mac, which has a long history, maintains that sense of a heady old school saloon... More

It had been a few years since we've had lunch here when we returned in late January. Good food, efficient service, reasonable price, in this off the beaten path part of Richmond known as Point Richmond, with a charming small town feel in the surrounding few blocks. The waiter had an extensive list of specials for lunch, which we didn't... More

Dad dinner in the restaurant on night we stayed in hotel. Be prepared for exquisitely prepared and presented food, from an extensive menu. Be cautioned that if you order rack of lamb, you will get the full eight ribs, not the normal 4. My wife and I both had them, and couldn't finish everything on the plate. We will go... More

This restaurant is two floor of the lobby of an old hotel. There is a piano player at dinner. The food was quite good. But the nicest part is the location, in the charming town of Point Richmond, and the cozy rooms of the restaurant.
