One meal feeds two adults, and it is good and nutritious food. Staff very friendly, Mexican food with healthy flavours -- fresh produce and prepared on sight.

After our horrible visit to the Chowder House, this place was wonderful. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. It didn't take long to get our food or drinks. And the waitress was new and very accommodating. My husband loves Mexican food and was very impressed with his meal. This place also serves American food.

We tried this restaurant amid lack luster reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. We selected different Mexican dishes and both were good. Was it the best Mexican food I've ever had? No, but it was good and filling. The waitress was a little in-experienced, but she was trying hard.

Mexican fare at a roadside café which is better passed up. After years of driving past this café we finally stopped in to see if the food was better than the establishment appeared. Next time we will trust our instincts...and drive on by.

We almost walked away from this place when we got inside and found it was Mexican food. I glanced at the menu and saw chicken strips for the kids, yahoo! I had fish and chips, very good and the tarter sauce was unique and delish. The waitress was very accommodating for my picky kids, they wanted nachos but I had... More

To put it simply, our experience at pirates cove was terrible. The salad my mom ordered was dirty, the lettuce had not been cleaned properly and you could see the specks of dirt and taste the grittiness. The grilled cheese my little sister order had the wrong type of cheese(she ordered it with mozzarella but they gave her one with... More

We decided to try it. We went there years before when it just turned into a Mexican place and thought it was good then – well it still is and is still run by the same people. The service was great. We asked to sit out side because we didn't want to leave our dog in the car. Even though... More

We went there not expecting to be impressed at all. Wrong. I had a carnitas burrito, filled with moist, tender, tasty pork. My wife had a cheese enchilada, rice and beans, which she enjoyed immensely. My sister, who has been here before, thoroughly enjoyed her vegie burrito. The chef is from Michoacán, so the food had that area's particular flavors.

We stopped in on our way up the Coast, expecting more of a seafood restaurant. It's mostly Mexican, which in general my husband doesn't like. That being said, the fish tacos were quite good and my husband liked his fish sandwich. The service was good.
