After a day of hiking in the woods we came down to the pier for dinner. From the restaurant you could watch the ocean, surfers, and local fishermen. This eatery is in the perfect location - the staff is friendly and helpful and the food...More

The other food was generous in portion, we went on the prime rib special night, but mediocre in quality.

My wife and I ate dinner here and we enjoyed our food for the most part. The restaurant is casual and enjoys a nice view of the ocean and a dock that appears to service fishing boats. They serve wine and beer, but no liquor....More

As the name implies - if you want great chowders and a wide assortment of local, domestic and imported beers -- this is the place. We gave high marks to the 4 types of chowders (New England, Manhattan, Thai and Corn). The Blue Bacon Burger...More

Point Arena is pretty small and out at the port your restaurant choices for dinner are just one. The Chowder House has some good points, notably the pleasant outlook over the jetty and the bay, and if you like beer, a good selection on tap....More

We have visited the Pier Chowder house every time we stay in Sea Ranch--usually two times every year. The food is delicious and is always well presented. We enjoy the many choices on the menu and of course the view of the pier and the...More

Nice clean place, beautiful bar area. Good food, nice feel throughout. The Bloody Mary's are delicious, though they are not made with vodka, not a full bar.

We enjoyed a timely sunset on a pier and had excellent seafood meals along with a good selection of beer and wine. This place had a great ckan chowder with chorizo.

Stopped in because we heard their clam chowder had won awards. Of course being from new England I just had to check it out. Very tasty and worth the drive. Also had oysters with barbecue sauce that was outstanding. highly recommend.

Hello, Wharf Masters Inn. My husband and I have been frequent guests in the past. The last time we visited was for our wedding anniversary in November 2012 or 2013. We stayed in the top room closest to the ocean. A maintenance crew fixing a leaky roof in that area didn't know that room was occupied, came down from the roof onto our balcony, and caught me standing there looking out the glass doors nude. The Innkeeper at the time - an elderly man, and what a wonderful character! - gave us a certificate for a free night in the same room with no expiration date. I still have the certificate (somewhere). My husband's birthday is coming up and we'd like to get away for a night or two between 10/2 and 10/4. I'm wondering if the certificate I have will still be honored. I'm disabled, so we will need an ADA room, hopefully with a balcony and an excellent ocean view. Please let me know if you can accommodate us that weekend and if you will honor my free stay certificate. Thanks, -Helen Dr. Helen E. Wilbur (Mrs. Mitchell Stegner)
