Great food, very nice atmosphere. The mushroom cigars were delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The wine recommendations were very good. They squeezed our large party with several kids in with no complaints.

This was our second visit but our first for dinner. The food is meticulously prepared. The pork tenderloin was moist and flavorful with a polenta base. The trout was nicely prepared. For dessert we enjoyed the crime brûlée sampler.

What a great find in the gold country! A true farm-to-fork restaurant but without the pretentiousness and sky-high prices. We had a great dinner at Taste but a few things stood out. First, the wine list is excellent. The list isn't 100 pages long, but each wine was carefully chosen by the owners and each is there for a reason.... More

Taste is small but elegant. This was my wife's birthday and we travelled an hour to get there and it was worth the trip. I had rack of lamb done perfectly, first on the grill and finished in the oven, and she had the gnocchi. Mushroom cigars (chopped mushrooms in a crispy phyllo roll) started the meal, and for dessert... More

If you are ever in this little sleepy town of Plymouth Ca. You must go to Taste restaurant! It was a wonderful experience! There was a mix up in our reservation and we left the restaurant very disappointed. The manager called me back immediately and asked us to come back. We were treated like royalty! The original building was an... More

This was our first visit to Taste and we are looking forward to our next meal there! It was the Trip Adviser reviews that caused us to make a reservation in a restaurant that we'd never heard of before. We enjoy a meal that was nicely paced and our waiter, Gary, was in brilliant form. ( he's not an effusive... More

A menu with a big variety, and an excellent wine list, and minimum corkage fee. The service was great, and the meals for all were wonderful. Reservations recommended and bring an empty stomach.

Had heard about the restaurant. It was fantastic. Food, wine, service all first rate. Loved it. The mushroom cigars are delish. We bought local wine and ended up going to Dillian winery to buy a case, and back to Amador City to buy the bread at Andreas.

Great tasting room for winerys in the area without tasting rooms. They have very choice and quality wines to taste there. Also serve limited dinners which are mighty good too. Great place to start your wine tasting experience while touring the gold country.
