Wanted some BBQ for lunch so headed to Back Forty. Greeted by the Hostess as soon as we walked in and were shown to a table. Waitress brought out menu shortly after we were seated and got our drink order. Came back with the drinks and took our food order. First time I ordered Beef Ribs here and they were... More

It is difficult to find good BBQ in CA; but this place has great service, great food, good portions. The bar has live music on the weekends.

We hadn't been to the Back Forty in many years, but had lately heard friends talk about how good the steaks were, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived early (5:00) on a Friday evening. There was no parking, but they did have a very friendly and attentive valet service. Good introduction to the restaurant. We were... More

Service was very good. We came off time a after lunch crowd. I love beef bones So the beef ribs were good. My husband had pork ribs. Found them to be moist, well cooked, and tasty too.

The wings are delicious and the Q is on point which they serve with a pickle/onion combo. I... More

The food and service were both excellent. We all had the ribs, several had Baked Potato, one had shoestring potatoes. The baked potato no longer is coated with salt and the shoestring potatoes had twice as much salt as needed. We all had salad, almost a meal by itself.

Picking a good happy hour spot that meets your individual requirements and needs is hard. No one place is perfect. Although I have had an experience with substandard service, what’s important is how the establishment resolves the issue and will the issues continue when you return. Giving the establishment the benefit of the doubt is key. Just because you have... More
